delboy
the mighty green gartside has just released a new scritti politti album, its been given a very low key release (i only came across it by chance). this album, just his fourth in a career spanning over 25 years sees him working alone in his home studio to create 14 absolute gems. he's also been playing live for the first time in 26 years recently! he's right back to where it all started on rough trade. anyone else champion his work or am i alone on this one??? delboy
glad i'm not the only one in here who appreciates green gartside, its more in the vein of 'songs to remember' and the early stuff and things have gone full circle with it being released on rough trade. Steve Temple
glad i'm not the only one in here who appreciates green gartside' date='[/quote']As everyone knows, The Sweetest Girl is one of the top 10 singles of all time. But this album was also reviewed in the Guardian, and it sounds a totally unnecessary purchase (although I didn't need them to tell me that).
