Hi everyone! 

I'm a Media student at RGU in my final year and for my research project I'm focusing on the importance of Aberdeen's music scene/industries to the city's culture and economy. I have some questions below and I would really value your views/opinions. I want to get a true understanding of how people feel (although I think I've already got a pretty good idea) so please be as. I will also be conducting interviews with those involved in the local music scene and these will be packaged together in a radio documentary/podcast so if you would be interested in this, please let me know!

How important is the music scene/industry to the city's culture and why? 

How important is the music scene/industry to the city's economy and why? 

How much support do you think the local government shows the city's music scene/industry? (please explain reasons for your answer)

Do you believe there are enough opportunities for musicians/bands in the city?

Any bass players out there?  Looking once again with a gig coming up on Halloween. Age 21-26. Get in touch! 

Due to unfortunate circumstances my band Alkanes, a heavy Alt/Rock (ish) band, are seeking a Bass player. Looking to have someone stand in for our gig on 6th September at The Lemon Tree, if things go well we'd love to fill the position permanently! Hoping to someone who is quick to learn and able to practice as much as we can on these next few weeks running up to the gig. There will be around 6 songs plus a cover to learn along with short interludes for the set. 

Think similar style to Arcane Roots (kind of) with influences including Biffy Clyro, Muse, Marmozets, Oceansize, Nirvana, Deftones, Reuben etc etc.

Hello everyone! Looking for a lead guitarist to join an Alt/Rock(ish) band, aged 19-25. We have a few tunes finished and still working on new material with some beefy/heavy riffs. Various influences across all band members including Biffy Clyro, Muse, Arcane Roots, Periphery, Tesseract, Alexisonfire and much more!

I manage a band called Daydream Frenzy. The guys have a headline gig at Tunnels on 14th August and I am looking for 1, maybe 2 local bands to bring in a few extra bodies!
