I am showing my age here by saying .. But I think the drift in sessions were before my time never mind before my time ive lived in Aberdeen

I am away this weekend unfortunately, but if its a weekly event ill fire along next week, i def would be very interested in any kinda workshops you would set up. I played my very first ever gig in the Malt Mill, got kick off stage after 3 songs mind, but still i got my breakthrough there!! Good to see you guys getting back involved, i had many a good night in there both playing and watching gigs. Always was a great little place, just oddly ran at times.

also we have a new 6 ft 8 member of sweedish bar staff whos keen to have a jam with you all and of course serve you pints ............... while singing and holding up the ceeling of course !

not the best time for me, due to fitba' infatuation, but I hope this does well, as the Malt Mill has a lot of potential. Have played there a few times in the past, and recall it being hoaching at weekends.

the "fitba" is on upstairs so you have the full downstairs uninterupted for your jam sesh

If its a quiet pint your after there's the bar upstairs and the place is amazingly soundproofed. You wouldn't even know they were there !

Pro community is exactly what I'm aiming for. Will need as much support as Possible for it to be successful especially with it being a compleatly new concept here in aberdeen . Keep the feedback coming

i am fully aware of the strange organisation of the place, i am bringing it back to being music orientated, but i am still taking function bookings on saturdays.

will see you next week i hope, and there is already news of someone doing african druming workshops monthly at the jam sessions .

living for the weekend

i have noticed a need for a place to hang out and jam with other musicians

and that most jam sessions are more open mic preformsances or on tuesday/ thursday nights when most people have work & family obligations.

so im bringing to you all saturday afternoon jmas from 2- 6 every saturday @ the malt mill 82 holbun street.

we will be looking into holding workshops, already have got someone that will be hosting monthly african drumming workshops.

this sat the 11th will be the first ever jam. please come along and show support.

please give feedback of ideas and input of the conveniance of the time + location.

bringing back the bands to the malt mill and aiming to make it what it once was.... the music hub of aberdeen

aimed towards acoustic stuff at the moment , only due to the fact we do not have a drum kit.

i am looking to have someone on hand with a drum kit who is able to also do workshops with drummers.......... watch this space
