In that case . ..... Fuckin' BISONGRAAAAASSSSS!!!!!!

He asked for suggestions for "best band" on Monday. I made suggestions on Wednesday.
Ahhhh... my most humble apologies.... I am a twat. :-)
-
Certainly NOT pay to play.
It would be cool if competing bands could help to promote and justify our return to Aberdeen next year though.
The venue have asked we don't reveal details just yet for operational reasons but certainly any bands wishing to play need to get in touch FAST.
The directors of bloodstock will be there along with the sponsors hobgoblin to make it a memorable night and select the winners.
I repeat that it's no pay to play scam.
You can print this out as proof,
It's a good old fashioned, honest battle.
May the metalest band win
WHO do we contact and how? they've asked us to take part in the Glasgow heats, but really thats a logistical nightmare and nobody will be there to cheer us on.

I'll sacrifice him to play bloodstock. Fuck the noisy faced little twat!

Prelude and Carson Wells for best band in Aberdeen, though I have no idea if either have played a Fudge gig. Is that imperative?
Das Mac too. I can say that now, as I'm no longer in DM.
very slightly late for making nominations methinks...
-
Best release - Scott Dallas' fart the other night. Cleared the whole bar.

Best gig - Korpse reunion. I know, I'm biased, but it was easily the best crowd/busiest it's ever been and it was probably the best gig I've ever played in my long and *ahem* illustrious music career...
-
also: what's the best line-up/bill/band night we've had at the moorings in the past year? i nominate the Fudge Awards 2012, the Larry & His Flask gig, the first Variety Performance, and the Korpse/Thrashist show...
Due to the mere fact that the Korpse/thrashist night was utterly pact full of foaming mouthed metallers, divimng around like loonies more so that any other gig staged there, EVER, then yes.
-
how about CD releases?

No idea who has signed it, they didn't write in block capitals under their squiggle.

Damn dude.... I wish I had that kind of cash before. 550 tho... phew!
-
Unwanted raffle prize. highest offer in 2 weeks wins.

I did a bit of asking about, and it turns out I was right. It's purely because of the pouty-rockstar photos, not the music. Shame that really.
-
is there a drum kit? And, I do believe the Drift inn did a saturday jam, back when I was a winkle.
-
I just listened to ascension for the first time, not my cup of tea but technically awesome. Were they nominated for being a bunch of posing cunts? I hope so.
-
why the bloody fuck are Matanushka not in this?
-
Thanks for the update, Goat Chaos
you are welcome...or was that sarcasm?
-
This really is going to the wire. Voting slips in the moorings now and judging by the people I spoke to, it really is a toss up between Bison and Akord.

From last saturday.

All joking aside - who ARE Akord? I'm genuinely curious...
Thats a strange question! Who are they? a bunch of dudes in a band, just like all of us. Click on the link and have a listen. Not as good as Bison. ;-)
