  1. Don't get me wrong, it's still good, but there is something brilliantly other-worldly about the version on the comp. I love it for not being what I expected at all.

i completely agree i thought the original version of this song was amazing but this one doesnt seem to take me in the same. The vocals in the second chorus are just not as good as in the original. Steve has an amazing voice i dont think i have heard anyone better in aberdeen. I just dont understand why these guys are only getting somewhere now, i heard them play this song live 5 years ago i think, back then i thought they would push on, i guess good things come to those who wait!

i think some of the views on this thread are a perfect example of why most bands fail. Writing something more complicated than it needs to be 9 times out of 10 will ruin a song. Who needs drum fills and complicated rythems when the most simplistic thing can often be the most effective, especially in this case. You often find the people who make it big are those who are not afraid to keep it simple yet effective.

"boring drumming is bad drumming" - complete and utter nonsense, thats not an opinion thats just ignorance as far as i am concerned, sorry to come across so harshly.

  3. i dont think Joey himself would claim to be anywhere near the best Metal drummer out there, still he is pretty fucking good!!

out of interest, what makes a drummer one dimensional? especially when your playing death metal stuff like slipknot, they are hardly known for their experimentation with styles. that guy 2 posts back is pretty amazing like, although the stuff he does wtih his feet is very similar to most metal drummers but the shit with the snare drum and the hi hat cymbol is amazing.

this guy for me is the best drummer i have ever seen, if you can ignore the stupid beatbox guy and just watch the drummer.
