Peter, what would you do if we got a Scottish head of state, and complete devilution form the British parliament and the queen?
Well the first order of business I presume will be to impeach and remove the bad president you lot have just elected as head of state.
The important difference between electing an idiot head of state and electing an idiot MP or MSP is that all means necessary to remove a head of state are allowed in democratic theory.
If a head of state, whether the head of state be a monarch or a president - is so incompetent or down-right bad and evil that he or she has got the police or the army going round locking up political opponents - turning the country into even more of a fascist police state than it is now, then you as a nation being threatened by your own head of state cannot afford to allow things to drift because lives are at stake.
So say you lot, elect oh I don't know - a former famous football manager or pop star as head of state - because he or she is really popular with you - but actually he or she doesn't want to or know how to defend the human, civil and political rights of the Scots - he or she has got no idea how to defend the written Scottish constitution that we will need as well - then that ex-football manager or pop star will have to be accused of treason and voted out by the parliament, by maybe a 2/3 or 3/4 majority of MSPs.
Now if the state under this first president is so oppressive that normal lobbying of MSPs is not possible to try to get the president impeached and removed - because say the state police under the direction of the president are arresting protestors, protesting against his or her rule, or whatever, then it becomes a matter for the military to defend the democracy of Scotland by either arresting the president or assassinating the president, simply in order to defend the Scottish constitution and the rights of the Scots to live in a free country.
So basically, being head of state - president or monarch - is not something most people should want to do because it is a death sentence if you mess up with the people's basic rights which you have been elected supposedly to defend.
But we should travel hopefully into a Scottish republic and hope that after you have elected one or two really awful presidents and us then having to remove them, sooner or later, the Scots would elect someone who was really good as president - someone who could defend the rights of the people.
So with a good president, then we Scots could get on with dealing with the actual problems that Scots have day to day - improve the NHS, education system, reduce crime, establish law and order, boost the economy, raise wages and so on. Basically it would be politics as usual only the difference would be even the clever Scots such as myself would be allowed to speak out and participate in political, social and economic life of the nation.

LOVED the Ali G style intro. That was dope. Y'know, they really gave you 2/3rds of your allotment there, but what the fuck was up with fencing you off outside the rock???
There is a secret that certain people don't want other people to know me or about other very clever Scottish republican socialists - something they have never wanted people to understand about the likes of me.
We are clever and able and so, for example, I was able show up even many of the university staff here in Aberdeen if given a fair opportunity - that is why they banned me from university - to stop me showing myself off as superior to many of the professors and lecturers. Rather than lose face to someone considered to be "just a student" - they banned me from university and destroyed my professional career as a scientist. For the university managers, it is more important not to lose face than it is important to help someone's career as a scientist or anything else.
It is also why the local political parties such as Aberdeen SSP banned me from their meetings - again I can out debate most if not all other Aberdeen socialists, nationalists or whatever. The party managers put their own positions of authority in the party ahead of what is good for the cause - shame on them.
So that is also why Scottish royalists like Salmond wanted Scottish republicans and socialists kept well away from the crowds - to stop us showing up the treason against Scots committed by the royalist MSPs who invited Queen Elizabeth.

It's tomorrow, right?
Totally watching. Peter, I happen to think that you're brave but entirely strange to campaign for the Scottish Republic while being self-admittedly dependant on the British state. I feel that you encapsulate the essential dichotomy of the Scottish independence movement.
ie. We just want it both ways
The UK state is not really a "British" state - it is anti-British for much the same reason as the UK is an anti-Scottish state. Imposing Queen Elizabeth hurts the British people the same way as it hurts the Scottish people.
Sure if my fellow Scots insist that the officers of the UK state should be allowed to arrest, to torture, and to imprison me, prevent me from working doing the job I want to do, the least I expect is money to live off.
I want the UK state dead and gone as soon as possible. Do you really think Le Stu that I am satisfied with only what the UK dole or sick benefit gives me? You think that is what I aspire to? Not at all.
Of course a Scottish republican state in Scotland should provide social security to those who need social security.
Ideally of course, a competent state would not prevent people from turning up to university to complete their studies and then go on to work in their chosen profession.
Ideally a Scottish republican government would insist the universities were properly run and actually allow people a fair opportunity to be students instead of kicking them out of university like a dog whenever the management feel like it.

Daveofficer there is nothing which degrades the arguments for the SNP under Salmond more than them saying they are going to keep the Queen as head of a Scottish state.
Actually "keeping-Queen-Elizabeth" is not an argument for nationalism per se but an argument for treason against the Scots because no-one but an enemy of Scots would want to lump us with that incompetent, disaster-inviting cunt Elizabeth as our head of state.

Aberdeen's local hero goes national!
Whereas viewers in England and Northern Ireland will see Graham Norton Uncut and then Heroes, in Scotland those programmes are delayed by 100 minutes to make room for the New Ten Commandments featuring real-life Scottish heroes but with no special powers I am sorry to say.
The chapter I am in is the first 10 minutes of the programme so be sure to set your VCR/DVDR/DVR/PVR or whatever to record the programme from maybe 22.49 or something in case the timing is out.
You won't be able to come home from the pub at closing time (if that is 11pm?), switch the TV on and expect to see me on TV because by the time 11pm comes I will be gone from BBC2 Scotland - so don't miss me - Aberdeen's very own local hero - going national!

I have a computer science degree from the University of Edinburgh (1982) which means I know how to re-direct links using a script to one of several servers I have set up to host my website. I do this because the servers are provided by free hosting sites which individually are not 100% reliable but usually one of them is up and running. So chill. The worst that will happen is that the bravehost server will pop-up one advert page. Just close the advert window and everything else will be fine. 8-)

The Queen merely makes the British economy millions upon millions every year. The Royal family are part of British history whether people like it or not. Really it wouldn't matter to me if they disappeared. If people are traditionalists then they will like the hysteria surrounding the Royal family.
Everyone will have their own opinions of the politics of the UK and that of Scotland. So I really hope that this isn't going to be where you try and force opinions onto people because that is just plain rude and will make people far more apathetic than they already are.
No actually France, Italy and America have thriving tourist industries even though there is no King or Queen for people to go and see there.
The Queen costs us more. Why?
There are people in Scotland & Britain who are denied the opportunity to contribute to the economy of Scotland and Britain by being forced out of university, like I was forced out of Aberdeen University in 1991 and Robert Gordon University in 2003.
Now there are two ways people of ability can react to being put out of university like a dog -
(1) To leave the country and many talented people DO leave - it is called "THE BRAIN DRAIN" and they go to somewhere maybe the USA where their talents are allowed to flourish, not forced on the dole or into unsuitable jobs. The Brain drain costs us TRILLIONS which end up going to the American people instead of to the people here.
(2) To go into politics to try to change things in THIS country so that ALL people here are allowed a chance to create millions or billions for our economy. This is the approach I have taken. I am staying to fight to change things here.
I do not blame people for apathy. The BBC consider themselves the biggest and best British nationalists around - yet no-one does more than them to damage Britain or Scotland by supporting the Queen.
It is absolutely impossible for most people to see past the BBC spin and lies because the BBC and other broadcasters only present one side - the BBC have a "Royal correspondent" who publicises the Queen - but they do not have a "Republican correspondent" publicising arguments against the monarchy.
In short people are brainwashed and you need to be VERY clever to see through it all.

What is a nationalist?
You're a nationalist so already I'm put off.I am the nemesis of the poor leaders of the SNP. No-one exposes the mistakes the SNP leaders make, like supporting the monarchy, better than I do, considering the limited resources I have at my disposal.
But in truth, every politician is a "nationalist" - the Labour, Liberal Democrat, Green, Socialist and Conservatives parties support the nations as well - the nation is simply "the people". Sometimes the nation being talked about is "the British nation" whereas the SNP always talk about "the Scottish nation".
A nationalist policy for example, is the NATIONAL Health Service - because it is for the whole nation to use - not just the rich people.
If you hate and despise the whole idea of the NHS - then OK maybe you are not a nationalist after all. ?(
The problem is not being a "nationalist" - it is being a poor nationalist - by betraying the nation by supporting the monarchy. Anyone who supports the Queen is a very poor nationalist indeed!

They spread lies about me backed up with highly selective quotes from my website, misunderstood and quoted out of context.

Europe's convicted killers free and murdering in Scotland.

Murdered in Brechin, body dumped in Arbroath by order of HM The Queen
Just a usual day in Scotland with Queen Elizabeth as head of state. After murdering a woman in Brechin, a previously convicted killer and his accomplice are wheeling most of her body around Arbroath looking for somewhere to dump the remains.
This murder in Brechin proves that all Scots are at risk from the UK state's open door policy to Europe's convicted killers.
BBC: Jolanta murderer had killed before
Once again the Queen and her United Kingdom state have caused the death of an innocent person in Scotland.
It is perverse that the UK state is allowing convicted killers from other countries such as Vitas Plytnykas in to Scotland to roam around looking for the next person they intend to kill.
Foreign killers should not be made welcome here in Scotland. So why are they being allowed to come here to kill again?
Considering convicted killers from other countries, even if those other countries decide to release those killers from their jails that doesn't and shouldn't mean that we in Scotland should be expected to allow them into this country.
Instead, when they turn up in Scotland and are identified as being a convicted killer they should be arrested and held until they can be deported back to their country of origin.
As soon as Plytnykas had come to the attention of the Scottish police he should have been shipped back to Lithuania.
However, the UK state, in co-operation I suppose with the European Union, is giving even convicted killers the right and freedom to come to Scotland - and is putting all Scots and our other welcome visitors and migrant workers at risk of being murdered.
This Queen and her rotten state gets us killed. It is about time we were banning from Scotland both the Queen and all the convicted killers she allows in to Scotland.
