As you can see the headstock has been dinged a little on its edges.

Other than that theres a few surface scratches on the back which im not sure if u can even see from the photo's, but nothing deep.

  2. I want to get back into playing music regularly after a bit of a break, whether that involves joining an existing band or forming a new one.

Either way I’d be looking for some likeminded musicians who know some fundamental music theory.

    My Influences include:

    A Day to Remember

    Avenged Sevenfold

    Blessthefall

    Escape the Fate

    Falling in Reverse

    Sleeping with Sirens

    and a whole lot more.

I’d be willing to even just get together and jam some covers with people, the important thing for me is improve as a musician and have fun at the same time.

I can play Guitar or Bass and provide clean vocals and am 22 years old.

I live in the city center and i can drive.

  3. Is there any drum teachers on here who teach near the center of aberdeen?

Im a total beginner Ive only ever learned to play a couple of really simple rythms, but i havent played that much at all. So I was wanting to try some lessons see if I can get the hang of it before going out and buying my own kit.

  4. Due to other commitments ive had to take a roughly 6 month break in lessons for my classical guitar, and due to relocation and my guitar teacher stopping teaching im looking for a new one.

My preference would be for lessons in Aberdeen preferably near the center.

Im at an intermediate going on advanced level and was working toward my grade 5 when i stopped. Ive recently been getting into the theory side of things and I also play electric guitar although my picking technique is self taught.

  5. Keeno, was told they had sold out of standing tickets so thanks for letting me know.

The majority of people on this website are men and have a set of balls, so I would assume we have no tickets. Sorry.

    Ouch!!! :(

  6. I think the problem is not the price of stuff compared to online but more the greater selection availiable online. Was wanting to try out peavey amps recently and went to RnB and BM and neither of them had what i was looking for.

If they did have something and i was happy with it, I would prefer to have tried it and buy it there.

  7. Going back to the start of the thread, the graph just seems to me to be in sync with the recession. People simply cant afford the luxuries which essentially music is, when they have to make sure they can eat properly. So its not just the music industry thats fucked, its the economy in general. I actually wonder sometimes if we will ever properly recover a stable economy.

  8. Started playing classical guitar in music lessons when i was 13.

This was just before we chose what standard grades i would be studying and i enjoyed it so much i decided to continue doing music. The first guitar i owned was a cheap thing my mum got me from argos for 50 but it lasted me a good year and a half before i upgraded. I keep lending it out to people who show an interest in learning now. I still enjoy playing my classical even though im focussing on getting my band going now.

Got my first electric when i was 16 a sunburst mexican strat from R&B.

Didnt really start playing it properly till i was 18 though.

  9. This is just me being elitist/picky but none of those bands are 'hardcore'

Im not even gonna go there man, genres are confusing things ?(

If you don't know what amp you're going to end up with, there's little point getting a pedal to drive it just yet. The amp you get might have perfectly fine overdrive.

Point taken, ill maybe come back to you guys once i have a better idea what im getting, althought i do reckon im going to need some pedals regardless of the amp so i can switch between distortion and cleans. Unless there is a better way to do this?

  10. Thanks for all the advice guys, given me a few things to consider.

Got an Ibanez RG1451 which i will be playing mainly. The amps a bit more complicated. At the moment ive got a line six spider with all the effects built in ofc, but im really just fancying a change and a bit of an upgrade. Was going to go into town this weekend and have a go of a few amps to give me some ideas but I really don't know where to start with effects pedals, hence the thread. :S

As for the hardcore it'd be along the lines of Parkway Drive, Yashin, Asking Alexandria, heavy distortion mixed with some mellower stuff and maybe some electronic elements aswell hopefully.

Bad Hardcore? possibly but its just what i like ;)

  11. Im looking at getting a few pedals.

Was looking at getting a Distorition pedal and a phasor of some sorts.

I dont have any previous experiance of pedals so i was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for me?

Price is not a problem within reason for me and id be looking to play hardcore, so the distortion would have to be plenty heavy.

    Thanks :)
