I ended up naming our band one day when sitting amongst the bores of Higher English,

Hamlet.

The numbing boredom couldn't have been any more bearable so I started thinking up names for our change of name from Mistaken Subkicks (yes it was a gay name!).

Simply, I was flicking through my book randomly, and came to a page which started with the words

"Let the birds fly, and like the famous ape, ..."

Immaturely I laughed at those two words,

and thus, Famous Ape was born.

No brainer, a must have,

they've worked so hard and have really performed well on stage everytime i've seen them!

they fail to bore a crowd and their stage presence is electric!
