He was the support for a Joanna Newsom gig we did and he was just solo guitar, with a loop pedal kind of thing and it was amazing. Wierdly full-band sounding. Have seen him play on a different occasion with a drums/percussion fella and another guitarist, and this also came under the moniker of Six Organs.

SIx Organs Of Admittance
As well as playing the Lemon Tree's studio theatre on Monday 20th, Ben Chasny is also playing Nice N Sleazy on Tuesday 21st. It's a late show, with late doors, and if you present a SY Daydream Nation ticket at the door you'll get 2 off.

Twilight Sad
Full details are here: Thursday 6th September at the Lemon Tree. They'll be playing with their Fat Cat labelmates, Frightened Rabbit as well as Copy HaHo. Completely brilliant live....

hello, I'm Isla the new music programmer at the Lemon Tree.
Just wanted to say to promoters and bands alike: please feel free to get in touch with me on isla[@]lemontree.org about ideas for shows you'd like to promote, support slots you may be coveting, bands you desperately want to see play in Aberdeen, and all related subjects.
Look forward to hearing from folks, in the meantime here's a few of the shows we have coming up in the Lemon Tree over the next few months.

Black Lips with THE HIDDEN MASTERS!
"Black Lips can, to date, be depended on for raucousness, irresponsibility, occasionally pissing in their own mouths onstage, and sloppy garage tunes indebted to noise and punk as much as the band's Southern roots." says Pitchfork.com. We say, a one-off opportunity to witness the Black Lips amazing live show upstairs in the Lemon Tree, no stage, no barriers, no seats, no boundaries.
Also on the bill: the cosmic new proposition from (most of) the men who brought you the Needles: The Hidden Masters play their first ever gig!
