  1. The guys in the Trinity Centre are pretty decent and cheap. I left the Alfa with them for 3 hours and it came back glimmering and it had been really well cleaned inside. Not sure if they do shampooing of the seat etc though. Cost about 20. 15 for the valet and 5 for the time in the car park.

  2. Does anyone know whats happening with Chicago Rock/Budbar/The Rig?

Someone told me the 3 are being bought over and turned into a fancy hotel to rival the Raddison going in over the road.

Would be handy if they could advertise a final Charlies closing night, round up all the minks, bolt the doors and then dynamite the place off the face of the earth.

I can but pray I live down the road and if I have to drive through one more crowd of pissed up underage neds on a Friday night Im going to go nuts.

  3. Im not playing at all period hence the decision to sell. Its a shame to waste and I could be sentimental etc but at the end of the day its money I could be using elsewhere.

On your advice guys Ill drop the price to 750.

If anyone is interested give me a bell. Got a nice leather hardcase and Fender Strap with it.

  4. Probably a good practice guitar or for beginners.

Ashwood Les Paul Style Electric Guitar

Sunburst binding to body, neck and Headstock, Block inlays, Silver Hardware

Hardly been played at all so as good as new.

    50 all in ono.

    Cheers

  5. I support this. Sadly, I think some damage to the site's reputation HAS been done. I used to post a good few years back, but left partly because I found it was too easy to be rude to real people on here and it wasn't a part of myself I was particularly proud of falling prey to on occasion. Coming back after a number of years, it seems that there is still a really bitter, vindictive element on here that only justify some of the criticism the site receives.

I posted a thread in the networking forum and instead found that the thread had become a feedback thread full of pretty useless criticism instead, the purpose of which seemed to be to frighten me off rather than provide pointers. That would be fine if I actually posted in the feedback forum (which ironically, seems pretty civil) and I'm big enough and ugly enough to realise the links posted are an acquired taste to say the very least, but the welcome I got was pretty much: "Hurrr, fresh meat boys...he don't even got no rep!" There were no relevant responses to my query at all.

This site is can be an awesome resource and the reality of having a place where so many people from similar social groups in a smallish city is going to entail some clashes, it's just a shame that a small, rude element can make this place an off putting experience for some people.

Couldnt agree more. I've often thought the level of cynicism and musical snobbery on this forum is staggering. Surely anyone seriously wanting to discuss music related topics should feel safe to post here?

If I wanted to start a thread about music I honestly wanted to discuss only to have it slammed by some cunt trying to be ironic or looking for a reaction I would go post on the Aberdeen Neds forum............theres no such thing Im just using that as frame of reference for how I regard these posters.

  6. I cant stand folks who where Aberdeen / RGU emblazoned hoodies/jumpers/tshirts etc.

I couldnt care less where you go/went. And they cant use the "Im a poor student" line cause they could easily pop into Primark or something if its about money.

    Its just pointless and pretentious.

  7. The media seems to keep citing that "8 Mile was her breakthrough moment".

If I was an actress (even a shit one) and the media referenced my greatest moment as film where I licked my hand and then simulated sticking it up my fanny I would be GUTTED.

She was best in Sin City I think.

  8. I think this is my favourite thread ever.

The amount of musical hatred rolling about these forums is limitless and its bound to be about forever. Someone really has opened a pandoras box.

    My personal hatred?

Cradle of Filth. Never have so many angry boys and girls needed a cuddle.

    Complete and utter aural diahorrea.

  9. DELL LAPTOP C400 1.2GHZ-512MB-40GB CDRW Windows XP

Laptop for sale purely to get rid of it.

Suspect the install of XP has gone a bit duff as IE refuses to open and may need to be re-installed but everything else seems in good condition software wise. Probably for someone who has a copy of XP or Linux or something fresh to install.

The Screen hinge is slightly broken and you need to position it to get it to stay up but this is not hard.

No CD-ROM on this but I will include an external CD Reader / Writer as well as a Linksys Wireless card and Install CD.

100 to a good home

  10. Alright,

Sure thing you can pop round for a test if you like.

Tonight when Ill get home Ill hook it up and check it out.

I had it serviced at Bruce Ms a couple of years ago and never really touched it since then so should be fine.

If it sounds a bit rattley or anything Ill knock a few quid off to be honest Im trying to clear out some space in my flat so Im just needing rid. Ill PM you my address tonight.

    Cheers

  11. Alright,

Reluctantly Im going to sell my Marcus Miller Signature Fender Jazz 4-String as its not being used and I hate seeing it go to waste.

Open to a good home for 900 including hard case and a Fender leather bass strap.

Also available is my Laney RBW300 bass amp available for 100. This might require some work to it as havent played it in a while.

Great sounding bass and nice action on it. Specs for both items below.

    Cheers
