HOLY COW!8o Totally sorry, i didnt realise that threads lasted so long hehe, the offer is still standing, still looking for a band or just experience, i took a few months out recently to get a job, earn some cash, finish school etc etc, basically to grow up hehe, how amusing. But I'm starting to look to play again.

So for those of you that repleid and i never got back to I@M SO SORRY!!!!, havent been on this in ages, actually started getting 'We miss you' emails, how very strange.?(

I'll update it too,I'm 18 now, YAY and thats it really, still willing to play whatever really, even though i'm beginning to love the nu-metal style in playing, cos its so 'samey', hehe. Okay, here's the dealio, I just installed this thing called cubasis vst 5 in me computer and wavelab lite. I have no idea how to use either or what I need to be able to use them. I don't have an instrument to record with and I don't know if i need anything like a media card or something or whatever to use it.... Okay, I think it's a little clear that I have no idea what I'm talking about. So any advice or tips or just general knowledge about the thing would be grand cos I'm stumped. hehe. THANKS!!!!

hey just to update you all out there cos i've had several repleis, i think i've found myself a pretty awesome band, so i'm not looking anymore, sorry. but i was thinking about becoming like a freelance drummer and helping out bands when they're a drummer short hehe as well as being in this one. any views on that? That's the worst advice I've ever heard.

1. Don't push anyone to play who doesn't want to. You will end up with the wrong sort of people in your band. Find people who want to be there.

1. dude i said mates. so it was meant to give the idea that they'd want to do it also.

2. playing a cover is a decent way to play some fun songs. i bet you even did them when you first started with stayover. thats how i started to play with my band.

also if your just starting a band how could you have your own songs? o_O

another piece of advice id give, is that you can chill with them in a non band way. like mates.

There is no "correct" spring tension to use.

If you're playing at loose tension' date=' as a minimum there's got to be enough tension in the spring to allow the beater to fully spring back after hitting the head. If you play at very high tension, the beater will spring back very quickly, and it will be difficult to keep control of the pedal. I would experiment in between these two extremes until you find something you're comfortable with.[/quote']

okay, i'm gettting pretty good alternating between the two feet at a slow pace with an even sound and stuff. YEY! but i was wondering, does the spring on the pedal or is the power glide bit ...( i dont really know does that have to be thightened to a particular tension for beginners or is it just general preference? because at the moment i'm using them quite loose and i am finding it quite difficult. or am i just making no sense at all here? HEHE!
