I was in Static in the City - the votes for us must be from the other 3 band members!

Afternoon folks,

Following the demise of my previous band, Static in the City, I'm looking to get together with a new drummer and bassist/guitarist to continue on with some of the old songs and new material that I've been writing (I was the singer and guitarist in Static).

Style - Upbeat, poppy/indie/rock stuff - also with some slower songs mixed in.

Statics were pretty well received, radio play and we got to the T-break finals so I'm hoping that a new set-up might help me push on with the material.

Age is reasonably irrelevent but I'm 28 so something around that could be best.

I'll take Grid, GTA 4 and Battlefield if they are still available.

Dissapointing for the Aberdeen bands.

I saw 10 Easy Wishes at Tut's and thought they were really good. Pish crowd though, which maybe had a bearing.

We played a heat in the Liquid Rooms and the crowd was much smaller than what I thought it was going to be. 2 bands from our heat (come on gang and state of affairs) got through though...bastardos!

None of the Aberdeen bands got through.

Basically anyone with a passion for music and is willing to make the effort to push the band as far as possible.

I have heaps of material, both acoustic and electric.

Influences - Hope of the states, smiths, blur, killers plus heaps more.

Drummer and bassist needed due to peoples lack of commitment (I mean, work in an office all you life or put a bit of effort it in and give your dream a shot!).

Had offers of gigs but have had to turn down, have already recorded some demo songs and I can supply a CD to anyone interested.

Age 22/23+ but maybe a little younger if your mature! 8)
