  1. Aberdeen University campus is a favourite of mine - the buildings are beautifully lit at night. I've taken quite a few interesting black and white shots of King's College and Elphinstone Hall. There are so many intriguing pieces of architecture and unusual shapes.......also, the buildings have quite an eerie and imposing presence by night.

  2. They're not there for other road users, but for paramedics/emergency services, so that in the case of a crash, they can prioritise the vehicles most likely carrying small children.

    Flossie

I thought the intention was to deter tailgating more than anything else. Although I can see how they would be useful in an emergency situation. However, they still bug me due to the smug parent images they seem to conjure up everytime I see one........:p

    • Baby on Board signs on the backs of cars.......exactly why the fuck do I or any other road users need to know this? Is it there in an effort to make other road users drive more safely, if so, shouldn't that 'luxury' be extended to everyone regardless?? Just reeks of smug/twee 'look what we made' parents. Bugs my tits :swearing:

    • Women who drive SUVs but have neither mastered the art of driving nor parking them. Usually driven as they feel safer having an elevated road position, bull bars and panzer-like protection, but to fuck with anyone else who comes off the wrong end of one! If you are that afraid of driving, get the fuck off the roads! (heightened rage if the SUV in question is also sporting a......you've guessed it........BABY ON BOARD sign!)

    • Anyone who lives in town but uses an SUV to do the school run, drive to the supermarket etc........no need

    • Old people in cars who will not drive at or near the speed limit. The result of which can usually be experienced when driving out on the deeside road: some miserable old pensioner at the head of a twenty car tail-back

    • People who eat with their mouths open or make smacking noises with their lips when eating.......disgusting

  3. Isn't there some shite on ITV called Rosmary and Thyme who are middle aged' date=' middle classed house wives who solve crime?

Monk is the king of dectectives. I've solved the case![/quote']

I think Rosemary and Thyme were some kind of gardening detectives. Almost as bad as that Pie in the Sky pish that used to be on....

  4. The technique used is called rotoscoping - in the past animators would painstakingly, frame by frame, draw over projected images of live action in order to produce an animation.

Much easier now in these days of digital media; Linklater layered the animation over the live action to produce this rather stunning visual effect.
