  1. Looking for some assistance here, bought myself a brand new dvdrw and have had a cdrw have nearly a year without being able to use it once, they worked fine and dandy, I have the dvdrw install cd at hand (at my flat.. at college now..) but Ive had massive problems trying to get one or the other to work. I'm looking for assistance as to where I would look to be able to distinguish which models i have and drives are required to get them to work good and proper, everyday i seem to be removing stuff from my hard drives to make more room for new stuff, without the option to back anything up, so as you can guess Im constantly touching wood.

Any advice, web help, assistance, ect would be greatly appreciated. Please and thanks

I've tried a few different programs (cd writing wise without success.. think it's a problem with the drives and stuff, although I have no idea, as I'm not really all teched up on that side of things. cheers!)

edit: I might add, the CDRW worked fine up until initial reboot, but since then has never been the same!

  3. Yeah, that's where my fear.. but do they not make exceptions for students, or is that a myth? like one off's or anything? I mean, I'm having cold soup breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's not good. Nor to mention the annoyance factor whilst I try to brush my teeth, which is terribly painful

  4. When you were registered was it in Aberdeen? If so you *might* be able to chance it and just phone them up again. I finally remembered to make an appointment with my dentist after over ayear and I had no problems.

Other wise I'm just not sure' date=' sorry. Maybe just going into a dentists surgery would give you some answers, I don't know if NHS 24 (the phone line) deal with this or not.

As for being covered by the NHS, I think you're entitled to free or reduced dental treatment if you're in full time or higher education or earning below a certain amount.[/quote']

Nope.. not a local boy. But I'll give my old dentist a phone tomorrow to see if there's anything they can do about it as i'm really grudging paying for any treatment, more so because I have no income in any form and have been digging into an overdraft for a couple weeks now.

But thanks for the NHS24 mention, I forgot about them, I'll give them a ring as well, they should be able to point me in the right direction and answer my questions more so.

    Thank you

  5. okay, so I got a bottle of my face resulting in my lip busting open good n proper and chipping one of my teeth so much its not much of a tooth and the other front tooth cracked severely, not sure if either are salvageable, and I havent been registered to a dentist for nearly two years, yet I am a student at Aberdeen college so Im unaware weather or not I am eligible for a nhs dentist or whatever, but Im looking to get this sorted ASAP as I can't eat and Im smoking my cigarettes through a pen and when I drink I drink from a corner which usually ends up with me dribbling.. Wondering what would be the best way to be about resolving this, any help advice welcome

  6. no i didn't. i bought em cos i didnt ask people who're going or not. i bought them so i won't be getting the drinks in for the next couple of months ;)

but yeah, i'm down to one left now. which i think will go pretty soon. gotta make up the numbers and all that.

  7. i prefer () to the new album, that said its still great

Untitled 8 brought a tear to my eye... twice! they're so damn good, can'tget enough of the sixth song on the album, 'saeglopur' it's just so damn good! check out Amina, they were supporting them in Manchester, then they came back on during sigur ros to play the strings!

Top band. even if they are getting more childlike every album, haha.
