  1. they have a song on the ab-music radio bri...called higher i think... sounds okay' date=' no offence, but i recon their songs COULD all sound sam-ey, havent heard others tho so i dont know yet. catchy song...[/quote']

Thanks for the nod no offence taken, though I'm not sure how you can tell from hearing one of our songs that they all sound samey! but again thanks for taking the time to mention us and hopefully you'll get the chance to hear our other material and find it's not all samey but still catchy.

    Cheers

    Stu TFR

  2. can't see any music on your website: i wouldn't book i can't hear.

i don't have the cd you mentioned either... pm me and i'll send you my postal address if you want

Most of the pages on the website have one of our tracks playing when you open the page including the home page, song page and gig listing page but I'd be happy to send you a disc. Thanks for the reply.

  3. bands still refuse invitations to fudge gigs there on the basis "the sound is shit and you don't get a soundcheck". which is a shame i feel.

you might not get a soundcheck' date=' but even radio lucifer were praising the sound onstage when i 'interviewed' the little buggers last week...[/quote']

I have been trying to get us a gig at the moorings for ages emailed people posted on here even went to the moorings with one of our discs (from elgin) but not heared anything so if you want to invite us Third Floor Rising we'll come and rock the shit out of the place soundcheck or no soundcheck! www.thirdfloorising.com

    Cheers

  4. a campaign like that would just be ignored in truth. Genuinely' date=' how many people who read the P&J would go to one of these gigs, or indeed any gigs that were covered in the paper.

The Evening Express at least has a dedicated entertainment section every thursday which would probably be a more likely avenue to pursue. Or even The Citizen / Indepependent.

Just a thought, and no offence intended.[/quote']

Cheers for that and none taken

  5. Even the Town Hall seems too far out of the way for folk and your events had to end quite early as everyone bails out to go up to Downtown SATAN. Then you see the likes of Sold On Soul sell out the place...

Talking of acoustics I can't hink of a single place in Elgin that has a good sound

The Lido Cafe hear for yourself by purchasing 'Shine' a rock platter of taste and distinction recorded there by the lovely diciples of rock Third Floor Rising.

    sorry couldn't resist :D

  6. U2 are charging 15 for a tour programme (hypocrites) on the vertigo tour makes 20 for 12 hours of music look good value to me. I thoroughly enjoyed myself as I did at the Speyside Music Fest and wish people would get behind people like Steve and Andy who organised the 2 events and I think there is enough will on local band front it just needs that apathy to be battered into submission and yes it would help with a more contemparary higher profile act headlining but we will get there.

As for the media P&J needs a dedicated entertainment section like the Northern Scot how about inundating the P&J a letter campaign or such requesting they get their finger out and Grampian news and reporting scotland did bits on air guitar championships and the sky festival in the last weeks but not a sniff about either KCL or SMF.
