  1. I remember 3-4 years ago there was loads of bands playing Kef/Lava with this kind of Funk-Rock/Grunge sound' date=' but most of them turned into 'scream-core' bands. I'm glad to see that someone stuck to their guns. It's not something I'd listen to, but judging by the info on your MySpace profile you guys are around 16, and compared to most of the bands around that age on here who turn in embarassing 'metal', this is pretty good so keep at it.

Tip - Stick with the more laid-back, funky Incubus sound and work on that.[/quote']

Haha, yeah, I know what you're saying. Thanks for the advice anyway, I've always loved the old Incubus. I feel like we're doing something fairly original, at least up here, can't say I've encountered too many other bands sounding like us. Doesn't mean they're not out there though I guess! Cheers though.

Oh, and to Sam, I'm glad. I like the vocalist too... But then again, I've always been a fan of my own work...

  2. Yeah, it was incredible! One of the best gigs I've been to. As previously mentioned, banter was brilliant. Enjoyed all the audience participation in general.

Chris did swear, but during a song (Kitty) , I'm not sure if that's what you meant though....

So many high points... Can anyone refresh my memory as to which cover was broken into during "Kick Out The Jams"?

  3. Dissapointments of the year

Mars Volta - Frances the mute

Really? I would say that's one of my favourites from this year, if not all time. What didn't you like about it? Apart from the 6 minutes of traffic perhaps...

    Also liked...

    Team Sleep - Team Sleep

Q.O.T.S.A. - Lullabies To Paralyze (Twas a real grower, although not as good as Songs For The Deaf.)

I'm not sure, I just realised how many old albums I've bought this year. Few that just missed out from last year, Infinity Land, Futures....

  4. I know of a few big system fans who think it is their best' date=' i don't but then i think steal this album is the best adn most people don't seem to like it.[/quote']

Agreed. Steal This Album is great, definately my favourite. Never run into anybody else who thinks it though.

  5. After they said on a TV interview "Yeh' date=' people have called us the new Aerosmith and the new Rolling Stones"...that was it.[/quote']

The only comparison I could draw between Rooster and Aerosmith would be that if I met Rooster, their lip sizes would compare to Steven Tyler...just not naturally.
