  1. Should you float into, stumble into, trip into or even decide to waltz into The Moorings Bar tonight, you'll be glad you did!

Djs Jimsin and Forsythia will play lots of: electro-punk/electro-dance/new wave/bleepy/goth tunes....... Plus lots of the darker 80's/ 90's sounds and recent tunes that follow a similar groovy ilk. Hope to see you there :)

  2. Supernaut back tonight hurrah!

One may be aware of the sketch by now.....electro/new wavey/bleepy/gothy/indie and all the 80's and 90's and post millenium rest...

And I've been led to believe this night doubles up with Pete's (from Moorings) leaving night too! It should be bustling, one would imagine, and good clean fun :)

  3. Is on tonight. yee ha. Third Friday of the month and all. My, it'll soon be Burns Day. Another splendid day to look forward to.

Jog along later - usual spesh electroclash/indie/new wave/dance/trash dance/toucha goth/riot lass/punka drill stuff and more......

    See ye.

    F (qotv) and the Jsin

  4. Supernaut

Is happening again this nacht.....this is a slapdash steam along email cos am at work and don't want to get caught.

So expect the same later.....slapdash tunes cos we don't want to get caught......errmmmm...making a mess of things.

    The usual slick, stylish affair.

  5. good effort...you'll have a fair few folk going to that on a Friday....my neck is still knackered from some of the monday tunes, so needs a weekend to recover cos sitting straight at an office desk is no easy just now...like it ever was......and ta for playing Lush too!

  6. Soupernaut is back as per cos it's the third Friday of the month.

electro/electro punk/nu wave/good indie/goth/bleeps/bleets.........always a medlee of this that and the other that's naturally, effortlessly and expertly blended in so well. You never know what's next........

There will be no soup. There was recently free cake on our 2nd DJ anniversary. If there is a requirement for more cake, I will possibly make one....actually a pal just texted there to say it's her birthday on Friday. oh It is actually.

Join us for the usual acceptable nonsense.

  7. HA!! Was just talking to her yesterday about that malark......I would say that 99% of lost property in that place would have been her's......some right good quality number amongst that I tell you......including the wind up walking Spanish doll. That was an exclusive Mudd moment.............

  8. Sue Denim come out Sue

Sue Denim! Yes.....was in touch with Lisa bout that.............Get yourselves there. You could even re-enact your first encounter with Lisa. But we need a sick stained floor or sth. for that.....nothing like that there.

Damn fine venue though - totally spot on for club night in everyway really. Go along. You are needed for fun!

  9. MARSH - another blast from the past............just cos yer married doesn't mean you canna go anymore....and Rob as well........

Wish they played ANNIE CHRISTIAN like......your tales of the past there were spot on.....There needs to be the same cameraderie in the street after, plus a collection of lassies crying in the toilets due to boyfriend stuff, as well as being told by their pals by the mirror that they really are thin, plus the blocked bogs and the hand-dryer that never worked.

and woodpecker cider....I've never bought that anywhere else. A tasty drink that was......could go on and on and on....but won't!

  10. choo choo choo

Don't worry too much about train deals....they're all so mesmerising and confusing.

The Interrailing/Eurorailing thing is only worthwhile if you are travelling in very developed countries, ie. France and Germany and western Europe......but if you want to go much further afield, I wouldn't bother with the railcard. I was muddled and questionning the value of it for a while last summer.

Then me and my pal decided it wasn't worth it for where we were going, which was Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic and finally Berlin. We just bought train tickets at the individual stations which wasn't hard...and MUCH cheaper than buying a railticket thing (cos there's a middle man in that I suppose). The usual hassles applied though, ie not enough ticketmasters at the desks etc etc....so I suppose the way around that is to turn up early...blah blah...yeahyeahhh! The poorer, more rickety trains are in the east, but it's not a big deal and you get to meet highly frightening Polish train ticket masters, or the train police.

Also, if you're under 26 you get cheaper rail travel in the whole of Europe I think....grr I was 26 and one day old and the Hungarian stinge wouldn't give me discount. Git!

What a cool thing to do before uni....i want to do it all again.....

  11. ...........mechty what a contentious/err contagious issue. Biz, I reckon you'd like the bogs at Schipol Airport - yo just have to press your foot down on the flush that's on the floor. I'm a fan of it too.....and if you've ever been to some parts of the U.S.A you'd love the revolving (new bit every time I'm told) bit of plastic that guarantees a fresh seat every time you have a 'sit down'. You just press a button and round it comes......actually saw a toilet like that in Prague in the summer come to think. You may be a fan of that anti-bacterial handwash you can get in small bottles. It's the business when yer at a music festival or something....you may have stashes already??

I like the Moorings bar :)

  12. Can't not reply on a topic that involves handwashing and cleanliness. I am not Miss O.C.D but just have high standards and rightly so.....I'd just like to add to this chat that it's so refreshing to hear A GUY harp on about hand washing considering most GUYS don't wash their hands/or don't really bother with it. So go Biz for being a handwasher.........

I'd add that there should be hot water to wash mitts with and liquid soap in dispensers cos those wee bars just pick up germs/ are unhygienic/naff to handle.

    No germs in me!!! :)

  13. Aye......given what a lot of his songs are about, he is a nervous character....but very very real which makes him so likeable. I hate phonies!!!!!!! They're everywhere.... grrrrr..

Those kind of album launch things in record shops are always quite strange though....folk are always on edge or something - and the performers too. It's a different setting from night-time and, err I dunno they maybe feel like fannies leaning towards the more commercial side of what they're doing rather than being in the shadow of it.....it's quite in your face I suppose. But it works well and is a novelty for the er customer so, so be it**
