  1. I can't remember much as it was my monthly piss up night and I was v.drunk... but can recall being very impressed with Ming Gone Blind. Not at all what I was expecting' date=' I thought they'd be a metal band, instead they turned out to be very classy AOR. The singer had a great voice.

Cheers Flash, glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for making our debut Moorings performance go swimmingly. Cracking set-up, hopefully we'll be deemed worthy of a return

Apologies to the other 2 bands for our exit mid-gig, three of us had to shoot off earlier than we would've normally. I think our drummer (Rob) capably flew the hedonistic flag on our behalf!

  2. I loathe Charlotte Church immensely. Voice of an angel? I think the voice of a drunken girl staggering out a nightclub at 3am on a Saturday night is a better description.

Regarding her looks' date=' I would rather spend a night with Dr Condoleeza Rice![/quote']

I'd agree with you up to a point, unfortunately the only thing you can't slag is her voice-she's an awesome vocalist. Fuck knows why she's dicking about with the pop crap though (well, apart from the guaranteed moolah) as it does her no justice. I'd think a lot more of her if she remained as a classical performer because that is her true talent. As for cute?....she's WAY down my list!

  3. Mine was at one of our own gigs in Macduff. I'd just acquired my new radio mic and took the oppurtunity to mingle with the monkey in the crowd. One particularly cute looking young lady was about 20 yards away so I thought "slide across floor on knees and stop at her feet!!" - genius - Unfortunately some twat had dropped a pint glass and not cleared it up and I proceeded to slide right through the broken glass....much blood!

  4. Fuck 'em! Those who were there know the potential of KCL as a major happening in this area. It's up to people to back it by turning up and next hallo is....we won't need the bloody P&J. Remember, even the 1st Glastonbury lost money and NE Scotland is renowned for being a bit slow to catch on to a new thing. Keep the positive and work from there, discard the negative as being unimportant to progress and to hell with those who would do nothing then presume the authority to pass comment.

  5. GNS were fucking stunning, Ewan is one of the best singers out there at the moment - fact! Official numbers were around the 1200 mark (spooner you should've counted the ones at the beer tent!). Hopefully this will be the first of many and put Keith firmly on the musical map, it was a fantastic day and it's an ideal festival location.

  6. I remember Mute (Buckie) drummer Dylan telling me about a Canadian band of the same name who actually e-mailed him and demanded they change their name....they were politely told to fuck-off. Band names are a lottery it seems and there's not a lot can be done about name-clashing. So far we've been lucky although there's a band called goneblind in England that appear on a Google search. I suppose if a band does get in a name-clash situation it can provide the foil to pump your own band that bit more to make it stand out.

  7. Thank you Craig. I'm looking for verification of the figures I've been given as much as anything else as I know very little on the subject and don't want to be short changed! Also, I did half hope that a forum as popular as this one might have a member who'd be interested in this amp. As for the other 2 posts, if you don't like a thread - try and resist the urge to post shite - it's not a requirement! Bob, your yachting accident quip is hilarious...prick!

To get back to the subject in hand, I've had figures of around 400 -450 mentioned and this amp would probably be of interest more to a collector or similar because as Craig rightly says it's 32 years old and there are newer amps on the go which may be deemed better(it does have a pretty kick-ass sound though!).

So, there we are. No hidden agenda, no cryptic message, simply trying to get a decent return on a decent amp.

  8. 1973 Marshall 20-40 Artiste Combo

This amp is in fantastic condition for it's age and I've had a couple of valuations done by collectors (as well as a couple of cheeky bastard offers). original parts and cover.

No time for piss-abouts so if anyone fancies this make an offer (IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT I SHOULD SEE THE FIGURES I HAVE BEEN QUOTED)
