  1. DLDown are delighted to announce the release of their debut album, Puzzle. Each of the first 100 copies comes in its own unique cd cover! - you can buy your copy online or reserve your cd cover on our website, or buy from One Up or CLC.

For those of you who haven't come across us yet (probably most of you I expect!), we play an interesting mixture of upbeat acoustic/rock/jazz music.

You can listen to a couple of sample tracks at our myspace, and Puzzle is available in its entirety for streaming/download on Napster and Rhapsody.

We'd love to hear what you all think!

  2. We're not really indie/rock - more kind of acoustic (but still noisy) jazz-rock, but we're quite entertaining to watch, and usually throw in a few completely random cover to keep people amused (Backstreet Boys always goes down with hilarity...) - have a listen at www.myspace.com/dldown (fast-forward Puzzle to 3 or 4 minutes in - that's still only two of us playing!). Let us know if you'd like an interesting and original opening act or interlude...

Im looking into booking a gig at The Forum sometime in september. Need about 5 more indie or rock bands to fill the bill.

NO metal or emo bands please! Trying to keep a similar-ish sound through all the bands to that the majority of punters will like the majority of the bands involved.

Either post on this thread or drop me a pm with a link to soe of your tunes.

  3. A few fairly decent live recordings from DLDown (yeah, we'll think of a name that hasn't been taken soon...!) are up at myspace - would love to hear any feedback. (The whole gig is up at download.com if you so desire!)

Remember that's just two of us making all that noise!

Also, where else would you recommend trying for gigs? - at the moment, just playing the odd slot at the Tunnels, and various open mics...

    cheers,

    Jo

  4. Some jazzy acoustic music available here - hope to update it soon with some of the songs from the gig at the Tunnels on monday (we were on the posters as Jo & Tim, opening for the Holy Folks, Orchid and Protege). We had a fantastic time - always nice when over 50% of the audience are for you, even if they are all people you've invited! Any feedback welcome!
