  1. Personally i think the album is awful. I gave it a couple of listens before coming to this conclusion. Before you could let them off with their lack of musical talent because the songs were usually quite funny. Unfortunately this is just a bunch of crap songs banded together in an album.

    poor show.

  2. I tired and failed to take photos with my phone. My brother did take a photo of me with aaron after the gig though :)

I'm in the same boat as you. Although i got to speak to Aaron before the gig when he came down to the Bassment for food, where he tried and failed to buy my kilt for 'some pounds' as he put it, and also made me get question wrong on the quiz machine. cheers! :nono:

Great gig though, missed the matches unfortunately.

Skindred were immense though, listening to their album just now.

As for Reel Big Fish, well they were the fish we all know and love, i found a nice spot just at the edge of the pits and skanked like a madman. wahey.

  3. It's unfair to tag all Celtic fans with the same Irish brush. I've been a celtic fan my whole life. I would never and have never wished that i could be Irish. I'm Scottish, and proud to be scottish. If Ireland are playing i'll probably support them, but then i'll do the same with Wales and Northern Irelenand. I'm nice like that.

One of my favourite moments as a celtic fan was walking around the backstreets of Seville, St Andrews flag in hand and stumbling across a mass singalong of Flower of Scotland. It was brilliant.

There are thousands of Irish fans at Celtic Park everyweek. You do hear the occasional bigoted song, but i'm happy to say that on the most part there won't be a mass singalong of it. I can't talk for away games as i never go to them. I'm under the impression that these games are a bit worse for bigoted songs and the like, but really you have to accept we aren't all like that.

I get called a Fenian because i'm a celtic fan, yet i have no links in the slightest to Ireland, and truth be told i really don't care. Really it's just ignorance, on both sides of the argument.

  4. Ach the gigs going to be awesome, well just aslong as they stay away from that horrendous new album. Reel big fish in moshulu, who'd have thought it? Well after some of the gigs recently i'm not sure i'm suprised anymore. Sneak the 44s in as support, i'd do a merry jig, you know, a jig of the merry type.

  5. Thought co-exist were alright. must have been pretty hard to get themselves going looking out to about 3 people. Often happens though.

Amen were pretty good, good banter with the crowd. Music sounded great, well it was when they weren't having the occasional technical difficulty.

Although "you guys should come hang out with us at the merchandise table afterwards" wasn't very rock'n'roll. how about "You guys should come get sloshed with us in the moorings afterwards", that would have been more pleasing.

  6. foo fighters were immense, as were kasabian, snoop dogg was a good laugh, Prodigy were pretty good. Audislave playing killing in the name of was amazing, the place went balistic.

Favourite part of the weekend though was doing strip the willow in the caleidh tent.

For my first T in the park, i'm a download and leeds man, i was damn impressed with the atmosphere of the festival. Would go back in a shot.

  7. Kinda related but not. At the download festival this year i got a little bit drunk and lost after black sabbath, drunkenly stumbling around trying to find my tent i came across a nice english couple. They asked me where i was from, so i told them aberdeen and straight away they started asking about drakes. Now i had to break the bad news to them that it had shut down and they were in fact gutted.

The guy said he'd played up there a few times, struggle to remember the name of the band due to my drunkeness. It was a bit surreal being lost in the middle of a field in england and getting into a conversation about drakes with some random english people.

  8. Really enjoyed that gig, even onion terror was a pleasent suprise.

Grown at home were ok, was talking to one of the guys from the band and he was telling me how he can't actually believe they were touring with howards alias. Just hope he still has that enthusiasm in a few years time.

Sonic Boom Six were quite simply superb. Their mixing of various genres was damn entertaining. Will be buying an album as soon as i get round to it. Amy, or should i say emu? was mighty impressive on that last song.

Howards Alias. well they were amazing, the singer has such a powerful voice. Kinda wish i was heading down to Edinburgh tonight to catch them all again.
