Little Feat Open and head up the Belladrum Festival Tartan Heart Fringe 2008 on the last UK date of their "Join The Band World Tour"
Many people choose to travel to the Highlands for a summer break hoping to find "world class music, the great out doors, good food and drink, and all in the best possible company"
Now I'm pleased to say all that is guaranteed for 12 halcyon days in July and August 2008.
I'm keen to let all music Fans know about this musical trail, our Festival and the Little Feats appearance, can you help please? If you can make it yourself there is a Highland welcome waiting for you, let me know.
I'm keen to get the word out about The Belladrum Tartan Heart Fringe in particular, which has been organised so there is a choice of gigs every night of the week in one Highland musical hotspot or an other so people can follow a magical musical trail around village halls, folk clubs, Highland hostelries and famed watering holes to Belladrum. ......... The Tartan Heart Fringe sets the mood in the run up to Belladrum Festival August 8 9 2008 and features not only the best of Highland talent but artists from around the world too, from July 29th - August 9th and offers a highland trail for the intrepid musical explorer around some of the musical hotspots of one of the world historically musical sensitive lands.
Ever fancied experiencing a Ceilidh in a West Highland Village Hall, how about some Bluegrass on the Isle of Muck, then perhaps take in a community folk club, or village pub session, while traveling through the heart stopping beauty on the way to exploring the east coast before visiting for the famous Village Sunsets Sessions at Collieston near Aberdeen, then join us on the banks of the River Ness in the grounds of The Maple Court Hotel for our Annual charity Bar Bee Q and 8 acts for a day of great music, with a choice of art centres, and historic venues with world class music on offer along the trail. Brief Description of event.
The Nairn Tartan Heart Fringe Festival Event is going to be the "rock/metal" night of the fringe leading to belladrum. Fans can expect live music as well as artist merchandise at the venue, along with full visuals and effects and a competition to win some great prizes for local school children at Nairn Academy.
3rd in this years ICA Awards for "Best Local Rock Act", Stolen Order will be headlining the event which will see them play Nairn for the 3rd time this year due to a love of the exciting crowd the locals are. This will be their last gig until their tour in early September, promising a great live show and possible new material.
Not only will this night be about good music, it will be about Nairn with support, and even to an extent the headliners, all having ties with the town. From Absence of Presence and Vengeance, the two Fully local bands, to These Leaves and Stolen Order having Nairnites in their ranks, this promises to also be a night about local music..
