  1. Y'know i'm tired of all this teeny bopper pop music every christmas; Wow! lets really stick it to the system - rage against the machine for Christmas number one - thats soooo controversial - all those X factor kids will be crying 'cos they don't understand the harsh lyrics (hello, he swears?OMG) and anti corporation ideals that RATM so gainfully employ - that'll really shake things up and our lives can gain some weak purpose and meaning in our otherwise confused and indefinitely adolescent lives, then weed will be legalized or some stupid shit.

When's this guy's xmas single coming out?

  2. Haha defensive much?!

    Touch, my militant little hedgemonkey.

What makes me 'defensive' when I think about you and your priggish coterie:

Is my perception that German National Socialism has become the prism through which you (plural) evaluate the words, actions and, fuck me, even the songs of other people.

Is my deduction that you (plural) have so much of your ego vested in being 'outside' society that to cooperate in any way, shape or form to remodel said society to better fit the views you nominally espouse would be totally counterintuitive to you, not least because it would entail your facing any kind of reality check, hence your snidey, nitpickey, minimod attitudes.

Is in the way you (plural) depict yourselves as an oppressed minority, whilst acting like an insular, navel-gazing elite.

Is about the corruption of 'punk' in less than a decade from a creative free-for-all to a bunch of bourgeouis hippies, all in black, singing another bloody song about cruise missiles, and it's about you (plural) harking back to that as a golden age of positivism and constructivism.

So, yes, I am indeed 'on the defensive',

if by 'on' you mean 'piss',

and if by 'the' you mean 'up a',

and if by 'defensive' you mean 'rope, you wankstain'.

    Peace

  3. Unfortunately, Herein lies the rub of all our 'radical stances': we've all plenty to say about the child labourers of Bangladesh, but would no sooner rap with someone from (e.g.) Logie about what boils their piss than fly in the air.

  4. I love Rags alluding to punk being an elitist little club , which in order to join Jake needed sponsored by two senior members before he was approved at comittee level. Says it all, n'est pas?

Bob Black nails it, or rather her and Dave's like, for me.

  5. .....

Another example would be those signings in Forbidden Planet. People go along BECAUSE the dude is in Buffy the Vampire Slayer or whatever, but they're (hopefully) aware that they're not going to be seeing the TV show being made, but instead one element of a bigger whole that they like.

And, obviously, to meet a real live VAMPIRE
