  1. I add Tr Cool for the hell of it, but also cos he's a dam good drummer, not as good as some mentioned above but definitely worth a mention :) - although the name; well it's not about his name it's about his ability so I wont go into that :p. Also Travis Barker, yes yes I've heard all the pop/shite remarks but he is a hellova good drummer all the same. And finally Keith Moon for beating his drums to death, quite literally, although I'm sure drugs of some sort were also to blame. ;)

  2. We need a drummer g'dam, been looking for ages. Must be someone looking to play in a metal band with punk influences, dam the drummer shortage! Anyone considered who are around the age of 15-20 as long as they are prepared to cart their drum kit to inverurie for practice or have a big enuf space to play where we can bring our stuff.

Guess I may just have to purchase a large amplifier and a drum kit, bah.

  3. Die die, my darling

what's wrong with deftones? chino has an amazing voice' date=' and musically they're all gifted.

sorry. but give me a good reason why you don't like them. i would love to know. the only flaw that i would have, is that they're fucking crap live.[/quote']

eughh deftones stink really bad, what talent?? if u think "back to school" was any good, u r deranged.

I think maturity, like in cheese, makes bands smell, dam maiden and metallica used to churn out superb records but now dance of death and certainly st anger have a slight odour of stilton. Too many bands to list who make me wanna smash their cds but....emo, manufactured busted types, squeaky-clean-pop, most rap artists (they just talk don't they?) and screamo's :swearing: really make me wanna smash their faces instead.

  4. I am selling a noodles sig Ibanez NDM1, yeh the grey one with tape effect, has one bruise and a scratch but otherwise fine. Plays perfect, tis a shame I live in inverurie but anyone serious about buying it can give me a shout and I'll go out of my way to get u a shot. Willing to sell for 350 or near, 100 off new price.

  5. Yo peeps, thought i'd try to improve upon my last thread. I went to leeds last year to see metallica, soad, pennywise, alkaline trio etc and it was superb, this year's lineup is looking pretty sweet and I will be there again this year pending me buying a ticket. Plz feel free to discuss everything about the festival, yes we'll have people saying it sux etc but plz back up ur arguments. Man one thing i hope does improve is the toilets, christ, even cows would feel a tad undignified. Anyone else go last year to either leeds or reading? Mann cant believe we only got 45mins of metallica cos the barriers broke, g'dam.

  6. Mannn

Why has music become so genre obsessive??? I like SOME bands who play metal and SOME who play punk rock, it's good to have things in certain categories but cmon peeps at the end of the day isn't it ok to just say "I like that track" for no g'dam reason - without the "o thats not metal" etc etc (Plz now look at ur mp3/record collection to confirm this). Music is about individuality and every band (well most ;), the serious ones anyways) try to rubber stamp their own sound. There are only 7 notes in music so similarities are bound to occur, never mind that u have all ur influences pushing how u nail ur chords down in ur own songs so plz deal with it or else musical progress will be harmed.

Ibid, A song Ruined have put some fair points down tho i must admit :)

Btw jaco is a legend, and so are metallica, nuf sed. C'mon the whiplash!

  7. wah hey, after my long sleep after listening to pop-i'mgonasmackruface boring and entirely insignificant replies (are u a ned with a burberry guitar??) i got my inspiration, thank u btw angel of death - wot a brilliant idea :) teehee bryn u rule :), ty all who put in positive replies.

  8. We need u!

We also require a drummer, must be a good metal basher but we only play metallica covers as we are eager to get our own songs together - we have two atm but planning more. If ur not taken give me a shout.

  9. ?( Gdam, hello peeps btw, i'm trying to write some stuff for our band so we can get some gigs, but alas listening to the 'tallica and the like has failed to get my mind into gear.

Has anyone got any ideas for the writing of a song, not actual lyrics only an idea, dont want this turning into copyright city.

I phoned mr cowel but he seems disinterested in my predicament, bah, my hero, i mean who else gives pop acts the truth so publicy - keep it up simon!

Cheers to all who bother to help me
