  1. Anything by Robin Hobb is good, if you like fantasy that is, check out the "Live Ship Traders" trilogy. I'm reading "The Ill-made Mute" just now by Cecilia Dart-Thornton, another good fantasy.:gringo:

  2. Right, I haven't posted here for a while, so I don't really know who's who in the forums anymore, but that Bob guy from pyjama party is a real fucking wanker. God knows what his role at the open mic night was, but at some point he ended up with a microphone, mouthing off about how next week it's "I am Bob all mighty week, if you do not satify me musically after one song, you're off the stage!"

Fair enough, if the band is shit, get them off the stage, but there's no need whatsoever to be a cunt and go on a power trip. I'm sure a lot of people picked up on this tonight and I hope I'm not alone on this one.

  3. Speaking of point and clikc games' date=' has anyone ever played "The Dig"?

I got halfway through it years ago and I might start it again.[/quote']

  4. At the drive in are very good' date=' mars volta in the making, but the mars are better and the music feels more complete.[/quote']

I think it's wrong to compare the two, At the Drive-in have a very complete sound, espescially by the time they released relationship of command but it's totally different to the mars volta, considering the fact that both bands wanted completely different things from what they were doing. :bat:

  5. Whatever happened to word of mouth? I'm not saying it's not there anymore, when it comes to local bands word of mouth is very important, but since the arrival of kerrang TV and all that, I've become very distant from the music scene. You don't really hear people saying check band x out anymore, as everyone assumes that they've been seen on kerrang or whatever already. If anyone knows what I'm on about and feels the same way, please say something!

  6. Australian Pink Floyd at the music hall a couple of years back. The Dark Side of the Moon prism projected onto the back of the stage' date=' gradually getting bigger to the sound of the heartbeat, as the voices in Speak To Me echo around the place, then the manic laughter, then the screaming, then it breaks out into Breathe, the lights come up. First time id ever heard Dark Side of the Moon as well, couldnt have been better :D[/quote']

Damn it, you stole my one!!!! That was a crazily excellent night! Although they didn't play sheep. They'e coming back soon, I hear, can't wait!!
