My muscles were all relaxed after Data thieves. Fuckin guy sent me to sleep almost!

Favourite Maiden to play along to - Powerslave
Favourite others: Berzerker - Dissimulate, Napalm Death - Harmony Corruption, Metallica - Black Album, Ride the Lightning, some of Master of puppets (some songs are just boring y'know?)

yeah Cammy, I know the above two.
Although the Kumoi scale is actually:
1, 2, b3, 5, 6
Damn these stupid hands!! I'm obviously not thinking straight! I find that the diminished scale is also very cool for odd little Marty Friedman style flourishes! Though straighforward modes like the lydian mode are favourites of Steve Vai et al and still are cool!

Yeah............. ever tried playing the Kumoi mode (a Japanese scale)? Cool as fuck - intervals 1, b2, 4, 5, b6
Or hungarian minor - a b c d# e f g# a (a harmonic minor with a raised 4th)

I remember one time me and my mate andrew went to a ned nightclub for a laugh. When our behaviour became too much of a 'laugh' we got kicked out, and deservedly so I may add. However, the bouncer was a bit heavy handed with my mate andrew and got head-butted for the privilege! Needless to say, my mate got taken round the bag for a good kicking. SO, though the bouncers may seem like dicks, sometimes it's the only way to teach drunken asses a lesson.

I can already do a bit of the old drums, but i'd like to learn to double bass really fast like mr Harry. Then I'd be the king of the blast beats!
-
Do you think they add to an extreme metal song or detract from it?
An example of adding - the blast section of Suffer the children by napalm death
Detracting - A lot of the bezerker (impossible to hear some of the guitar work.)
Opinions?

Two words: Don Henley!

Shit, i thought I was the only person who actually likes My Vitriol! Yeah, cool melodies, and nice ethereal chords too.

Knowing theory definitely helps. Since i learned about music theory, most of my riffs end up in weird scales and modes, such as the hungarian minor (basically harmonic minor with a #4 as well) and spanish phrygian.

What do neil ex's jokes and dog poo got in common? They're both shit!

I think a king of the ring inter band tournament is in order? Who is the hardest band member in Aberdeen? Let us find out....
P.S it's me!!

Well, have to do SOMETHING to pass the lecture skiving :O
It's the closest we have to iron maiden anyway....
-
You need a bit of both. I mean, I love a song like 'Life?' by Napalm death just as much as 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner' by Iron Maiden.

You can't do 1928 overture, i claimed that cover months ago!
Dude, Element should definitely cover some Dimmu or something. Could you guys play the insight and the catharsis?
-
Wasted Years would be amazing! Or Shot in the Dark by Ozzy! I'm in a extremely 80s mood today.

I think it's well ace: one of their best in my opinion (definitely better than Brave New World). Then again, since my favourite Iron Maiden album is Somewhere in Time my opinion may not count for much!

Will all baseball capped types be refused entry too? I hope not - I needs mine to hide my shit hair!

Sweep picking...

Sweeping is kinda fucked up, but once you've practised it alot it ain't that bad. I'm okay at at, but that 7string sweep is outta my league thus far! A cool sweeping part is the beggining of the song "pissing in the mainstream" by Dying Fetus. And on the G3 video, the little improvised thing Steve Vai does before "for the Love of God" has some kick ass sweep arpeggios too.
