Would anyone be able to tell me roughly how much meals are at the melting point in golden square. If anyone has been I would appreciate a rough price.

I only got to hear the Scotland match on the radio because of being in the car but it sounded to be a hell of a match. Being an England fan I was extremely pleased with the performance yesterday but I'm very happy Scotland won today. Was well deserved and also good on the Irish for yesterdays game. From the look of things this six nations is going to be a good one and may be very close. Happy the French were beat *smiles*

I am led to believe that a few years back Aberdeen College I.D's were faked and bars stopped accepting them.
This year' date=' I went to Aberdeen College and found the burden of proof needed was completley over the top. Particularly for someone who is not studying at the main gallowgate site.
What was required is a current passport or driving licence and a bursary form. (One of the people in my course has never been abroad, so dosen't have a passport and hasn't got a driving licence either).
At my first attempt in trying to get a student I.D. I was refused becuase I didn't have a bursary form (mine had been sent away to the college and I still haven't got it back). Note that I also had a guitar with me plus all my college course materials i.e many booklets with 'Aberdeen College' written on them.
The lady was fairly nasty about it and dismissed what i said with the information that she would be at the Bridge of Don Gordon Centre next thursday. While I was there, I had overheard her give an excuse to another student about not making it to the Altens Centre (on her scheduled visit) earlier that week. With little suprise, she didn't turn up at the Bridge of Don on the day she said she would (something about a computer problem). I also had no classes on the day she said she would be there, so it really would have been of little benefit to me.
I ended up being refused while trying to get an I.D about 3 times (once after I managed to misplace my driving licence in this carry on). After Anne Graham (elected student president and dispenser of Student I.D's) realised that a lot of people were unable to provide her with bursary forms she started accepting letters from college tutors on headed paper in addition to a driving licence or passport.
I finally got a student I.D but it was a huge bother. Aberdeen College certainly do not need to be any more strict about who they give an I.D to.
.................
I also found it rather rather hypocritical that she was willing to give out an I.D without seeing a passport of driving licence if the student had a tutor present, in her office. She obviously didn't want to argue with another member of staff but was willing to be a complete and utter biatch to students. Please do not vote for her, she is elected and obviously dosen't do her job properly. Voting has probably passed and she maybe got overthrown but I don't know. Depends how many people at college have shares in durex (read below).
In one of my failed attempts to get a student I.D. I had to wait benind a couple who can't have been older than 15, who were getting free condoms. I really question if it should be the purpose of the Student President to hand out student I.D's to the entire college and condoms to 15 year olds. I also had to wait for a reasonable amount of time while she was on the phone concerning what appeared to be part of her social life.
Anyway, Aberdeen College has a completely ridiculous policy about giving out student I.D's at the moment. Maybe some people got given them too easily but I am not one of them.

I used to work for the SA at Aberdeen College so I can back you up on this. She will be a complete cow when she wants to be which is pretty much all the time. I've seen her give an id to someone not having the right form of documents with them just because she likes them. I also overheard a conversation out of college where a guy was showing off to his mates saying he took a photo copy of a passport i think it was or it might have been a birth certificite and then just modified the date and she accepted it as id. She doesn't do her job properly. She won't accept one student who is disabled into the SA office because he put in a compliant..that's as much of the story as I heard meaning that this student will never be able to get a student card. The cards themselves are poorly made therefore I can imagine people with enough time on their hands would be able to create cards looking pretty much the same. This woman was elected into her position because no one else went for it. There was an election for the vise presidant job which only one student went for I believe..I almost ran for it because I pretty much would have had more votes without having to try but then the thought of working along side that woman put me off. She doesn't do her job properly and she is completlely out of order how rude she is to students unless she likes them.

Ok so not quite the greatest but damn close. I'd rank it up there amongst Lost' date=' Desperate Housewives and Smallville.
Shame it got cancelled. I can't wait for Serenity.
I'm not a huge Buffy or Angel fan. But from what I gather, Firefly is a more mature, sophisticated series. Love it.[/quote']
I have to agree with you on that one!

According to Channel 4: Number 1 Hull!? What an injustice. It's not as bad as they said. Honest. Wow I went to the worst school there too. But I'd rather go to Hull than Hartlepool or Falkirk. What do you think is the worst place in the UK?
leave my hometown outa it. hartlepool isnt THAT bad

I eat constantly so my comfort food would be just about anything. I'd rather listen to music to cheer me up then eat or watch a good movie. saying that a chinese take-away is always a good option for me.

When i was working last week a little kid came up to the counter with her parents who were buying her nappies and she said to me that she learnt that when it's wet everything dissappears. i was slightly confused until i saw the advert for the nappies, she was so cute:)

Yeah but Chirac said that because he is an arse' date=' not as part of friendly "banter".
It is the same with the Scottish - English thing, for some it can be mearly a sporting rivalry, others just slag off the other as part of a bit of fun, but unfortunately some take it even further and it can become as blatant as racism.[/quote']
I do like the banter between football rivalry but there are certain people i know that take it too far, i dont know how many times ive had racist comments about being English..and that's just from my friends.

this is like therapy without spending 200 quid an hour to lie on a couch and be told that all of your problems stem from self hate...
Purge yourselves people' date=' get all the hate out and fill yourselves with an inner calm
I also hate..
people who talk during a gig. What the hell did you go for? if you want to chat go to the pub, but I came to listen to the band. SHUT THE F*CK UP!
I feel calmer now
Pete[/quote']
i agree with that one! An oldish man was trying to speak to me all the way through the green day gig about how they like the band etc, if he liked the band so much why the hell doesn't he listen to them!!!!
