huntedbyafreak
Don't spoil it! I have been looking at this book for a while now... I really enjoyed The Blind Assassin and Alias Grace but I've never been sure about this one... I just think I don't really know what it is about. Guest AmbientMood
Yeah the last paragraph is slightly frustrating. I can't get over how good that book is even though it made me feel quite melancholy most of the time. The crakers are funny. Read any other Margerate Atwood books? huntedbyafreak
Read any other Margerate Atwood books? The Blind Assassin is an absolute classic. Story of the downfall of a Canadian industrialist family in one plot at least... It's rather complex and has several different narratives that only come together at the end. It also has my favourite opening line from a book ever... "Ten days after the war ended, my sister Laura drove a car off a bridge." Classic.Alias Grace is also brilliant. A masterpiece, even. Can't be fucked writing about it though. It won the Booker Prize.
