Larsen B
Someone is gonna come on here and slag them off calling them hipsters but those people are just hipsters themselves who dislike them just because they are fashionable. Anyone with a heart couldn't resist the singles they've released so far.

Larsen B
if i call them shit' date=' does that make me shit myself?'cos i can't stand the bravery but i can't be bothered cleaning up that sort of mess either[/quote']I know some people will genuinely dislike them but there are some people on these messageboards who i am sure will hate a band (or at least say they hate them) purely because they are fashionable. I might be giving the impression that i think they are a great band which i don't but i won't deny that they have a certain amount of merit just to look cool...in a kind of anti-cool way. Anyone with a heart couldn't resist the singles they've released so far.I think they are shite, because they are dull, formulaic and ripping off dozens of other bands far more deserving of the attention.like the Feint, for example. Paranoid Android
I've heard one song, that one with all the dominoes in the video, I don't really like it.
betamax
saw em before xmas in england in a half empty venue....they were ok, harmless nicely crafted but very conventional pop basically, Im sure I texted the words ''entertaining bollocks'' as my gig analysis to a pal back in the deenand my mum likes them

Paranoid Android
The Faint are great, but I found "wet from birth" a bit dissapointing, I prefer both Dance Macabre and Blank wave arcade. Alhtough I never really listened to it that much.
Laxton's Superb
ahem.....Dance Macabre.your right though, wet from birth is indeed dissapointing
delboy
i think the honest mistake single is pretty decent - am i right in thinking the NME are hyping them up a bit????
allstardawn
i like the bravery, although i didn't realise [until the other day] that they were american. not that it makes a difference, of course, but i just asumed they were british.yeah, sucks to be me
TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
Before i heard them, i read all the articles about them being a cross between the Strokes and the Killers... Bit disappointed when i heard Honest Mistake and immediatly thought "this sounds like a cross between the Killers and the strokes!" ...Still think they are quite good though. allstardawn
nothing wrong with a cross between the killers and the strokes and some electronic goodness thrown in there for good measure (y)
TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
nothing wrong with a cross between the killers and the strokes and some electronic goodness thrown in there for good measure (y) I know that, but i think i was more disappointed at the fact that i was agreeing with music journalists (namely NME)... spleen_of_gold
Not the sort of stuff i usually like, but i downloaded it a few days ago and I think its not bad.
suzywoo
All i've heard is the single "honest mistake" and if thats anything to go by then i can't wait to hear the album! They have a total new order vibe about them but are different from anything else around at the moment. The video is AWESOME, all the dominoes and stuff, loving it! betamax
I know that' date=' but i think i was more disappointed at the fact that i was agreeing with music journalists (namely NME)...[/quote']the Bravery are not in the same league as the Killers and sound nothing like the Strokes (which is a good thing)the NME is just contrived and lazy journalism - rarely accurateimo
Paranoid Android
I don't really think they sound like a cross between the killers and the strokes, they maybe as bad as the killers. THe strokes are much better though, imo. I don't hear the strokes in them at all.
