Fluffy Posted February 27, 2005 Report Share Posted February 27, 2005 ok, since there seems to be alot of comp type people here, we need abit of help.i use firefox and bf uses IE. we have been getting pop-ups and new windows telling us all about the joys of dating etc.. but it is getting to be a damn pain.we have run spyware, ad-ware and virus scan. they always come back with things and delete them, but i think there is one thing that cant and wont be deleted.any tips? getting rather annoying now. MattJimF Posted February 27, 2005 Report Share Posted February 27, 2005 tips yes go here preferably in IE, download the software and let it run. Also GET A FIRE WALL AND DECENT ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE. Nearly all problems with adware/spyware can be stopped with a firewall, most are simple to set up and alert you when something tries to access the internet, so you can decide to let it or not. If you don't disable it, you get tons of pop-ups (but they look very specific - just a grey box with "Messenger" at the top" and no pics, just ASCI stuff.)
