Well its the only thing you need to work out as far as boyancy force is concerned.. however, sometimes they can be pretty sneeky and decided to change it into an unbalanced forces question, in which case all you need to do is use fun=m x a and just remeber that weight is a force as well. Any more questions?

the exam wasnt as hard as i thought it would be but i still dont think i did too well in it

ah well, only the prelim but that means ive still got the real thing to go in May :(
