patrick boo
Pah. It's always at this time it hits. On my own, staring into the screen, needing a break from work... Being two hours from the nearest all night garage is shite when all you can think about is a bag of bacon flavour crisps... Oh ignore me - why did I put that, you more than likely are already... Guest MarkJDelaney
Maybe you should stock up on crisps for future nights.
patrick boo
...Never works like that. Were I to buy 6 packets of crisps in advance, I'd still have eaten them when I didn't really need them, then when I needed them I'd still be in the same situation, only fatter. Guest Neubeatz
Paddy, I managed that isolation for six years mate, no computer or telly, just music, no people, just goats and chickens, no neighbours, well not for a mile and a half anyway, 128 days of snow a year, regularly unable to go anywhere due to no transport(only 3 busses a week), The only thing that kept me going was insanity, if I had a pc or a telly I wouldnt have seen the "lights on the horizon", those lights made me think that there was something over there that I was missing out on.It was the illusion, the hallucination, the mirage in the desert of the lonely soul,There is nothing special about crisps.......they cant help the soul when it yearns. patrick boo
...You're right of course. I've not been anywhere for a good eight weeks though and I'm yearning for my fix of lead in my lungs that keeps me going until next time. As for the illusion, hallucination, mirage of the soul, well, a big bag of mushrooms will take care of that side later on...
