Dr Drakes Productions Presents:

PINEY GIR

+ Le Reno Amps

SNAFU (5 Union ST)

Wednesday 2nd March

8pm prompt, 3

If you were there for the final weekend of official gigs at Dr Drakes then you'll remember Piney Gir. She certainly remembers all you, so she's making a special detour from supporting Erasure on their sold-out European tour to come say hello again! If you missed her sweet and sassy blend of every genre from country to electro then come along and find out what all the buzz is about!

Accompanying Piney in SNAFU is the dynamic duo of Le Reno Amps, switching as many styles as Piney but eschewing synths for guitars. Their charasmatic plasticity threads songs of love and loss effortlessly together with rabid ditties and eyebrow-raising lyrics, the pair bouncing off each other as much visually as they do lyrically. Between Le Reno Amps and Piney Gir, surely there's got to be something for everyone here...

Doors are 8pm sharp, and it's all for the bargain price of 3.

It's the first gig under the banner of 'Drakes Productions' and a water-test for a new venue for gigs, so come along and support the bands and please let us know what you think!

Due to Scott's unfortunate accident Le Reno Amps can no longer play this gig. Our best wishes to Scott for a speedy and full recovery.

Support for Piney Gir will now be from Motormark. A bit of a change, but we've had so many people say they missed the Piney and Motormark gig at Dr Drakes we thought they deserved a second chance to see this fantastic line-up.

Props to Motormark for agreeing at such short notice, and once again we wish Scott all the best of health.

Did we ever establish if this was an over 18's only gig?

We didn't but we have now! It will infact be an over 14's gig. It will be finished relatively early so no conflict with any clubs that may be on. Not that it is an issue but when the gig is finished all under eighteens would have to leave. Same as Drake's!
