it's ace, go.

best thing to do, if you want to get uber drunk and have an ace night...is, start in bassment, drink cocktails, listen to karaoke, then go to moshulu for flying circus. guaranteed fun.

that's the spirit :) flying circus rules, provided you can take the cheese.

i'm partial to air guitar. it is my post-drakes vow to rock more saturdays where possible...

Alternatively you could check out Exodus. According to the day, the people are lighter (in clothes colour), drunker (in a merrier way) and the music isn't as diabolical as Moshulu(brackets not really necessary here).

I'm not sure who told who that the music was Varied in Moshulu but one things for certain.....thats a bold statement!

(Not Birdman)

On the other hand (to give people another point of view to the above post):

- Exodus is tiny.

- Impossible to get served at the bar (well for someone with my stuffed yak bar prescence).

- Impossible to get a piss in the toilets.

- You can tell exactly which songs will get played every night (probably the case in most clubs)

- And they tend to play 3 Guns n Roses songs or AC-DC songs in a row. Can the DJ not be arsed?

:D

No sticky carpets though.

Oh, and exodus tends to have awful bouncers / doorstaff (heard many people complaining about them).

I used to really like Exodus, specially on a Wednesday night, but can't fucking stand it now. No offense to the the folks on here that go regularly, but the place is usually full of complete dicks....

Moshulu is big, but has sticky carpets... It also tends to play too much scary metal. The DJ's do tell you straight if they wont play something, which i like, and the back room is cool.

Exodus is tiny, but plays indie/rock/astrojazz, it can be a nightmare getting served sometimes, last night being a point... It was fucking packed, i just wanted a quick pint but it was full of dickheads. Well, they might not have been dicks but they were all at the bar. I ended up in the fucking Priory.

I would tend to agree with you.

I used to love going there too, but can't stand it anymore.

I must be getting old.

I haven't been on a Monday for ages but last night was a great laugh, free entry, cheap drinks and the music was really varied. There was a bit of everything, some metal, some ska and of course just some rock. Open minded DJ too which is nice..unless he ws just being polite when he said he'd play some Jack Off Jill if he had any (it was 1.45am, not surprised he didn't have time to play it)

All in all a very good night, cheers guys :)

( note lack of sexual connotations attached to term 'ball pit' by me! )

hahahahahaha sounds like a plan

thats a good idea tho think about it, clubs introducing a room where all the over 18's can dump their younger "partners" for the night and let them "bond" whilst they go out get smashed. Plus this would also mean that very drunken people would have escorts home at the end of the night thus avoiding the threat of waking up in the middle of a field at 9 am with a cow licking your face (note this may or may not have happened)........

Thus making windmill brae/belmont street a happier place overall.

Too much scary metal? People are usually moaning that there's not enough metal :p

Both are excellent clubs in my opinion. I think you can easily seperate the Wednesday night DJing in Exodus from the other nights cheese-wise and I can fully understand people saying that the music in Moshulu is varied. If you went this week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday I'm pretty sure anyone would have to agree. That's not even counting the back room DJs :D
