Flash@TMB
Good thread... so far...I can only comment on the bands I've seen which are mainly those that have played The Moorings. Also the bands that have played more recently are fresher in the mind than those that played more than 2 weeks ago LOL. So I'm just gonna pick one from last week:The Ghost of Bongo

Guest Tam o' Shantie
10EW have been a bit quiet recently but coming in the next few months- Split CD with Tellison on Glasgow's KIDSMOKE Records- Bigger shows in Glasgow- UK tour with Pickled Dick- Lots of new demos for our album! If we ever get our feet off the ground the Cure For Cancer Has Been Found will be a pretty interesting watch, but we probably won't play any big gigs. Skull Commander
Everyone should check out Karloff, if they have not so already. The band grows in following and quality with every performance. I myself have missed the last couple of gigs, but fully intend to catch the next spooky show. GHOULTASTIC!!! Guest stuartmaxwell
Where's Turning 13 ya divs' date=' always quality controlled[/quote']aye maybe so, but you have played the same set at least 561 times to aberdeen in the last two years
KevinTGF
I'boy Watson played with them at the lock up the other night' date=' but it could hardly be regarded as "Kris's new stuff" seeing as he didn't write it...[/quote']True enough but he did have input into a few of the songs. He'd only practiced with us 2 or 3 times before the lockup gig so we didn't have a chance to totally experiment with the songs. But now we're going to focus on writing new stuff with Kris (well thats the plan!) as Niall is pretty much bursting at the seams with ideas for songs. Also, now i see why steve has an afro... not for style but as a bloody crash helmet for when Kris is jumping about! ha ha!If anyone does want to catch us play... well we don't actually have any dates in Aberdeen until the rescheduled gig with Aereogramme (provided Paul still wants us to play) which is March. Playing Glasgow and Edinburgh in March aswell.[here's the self promo bit...] if anyone wants to be on our mailing list then email us at reasonsarered@hotmail.com [oh the shame of self promotion ]

The Milner
id say keep an eye on Broken Sunshine this year, those girls keep improving all the time so hopefuly this year is going to be good for them. Weapon are also now getting very very good, one of aberdeens best bands id say at the moment. Look out for what they get up to this year (although im sure you will get to hear). FromHerAshes are also going to be an interesting package when they get on to stage. Reasons are Red should also be good but ive yet to see them yet, heard good things tho. Of course Quik will also be back in full flight this year so id be keeping a close eye on them.

Chris
*COUGH* err.. how about flicker? :OI was quite impressed at the drummonds gig a couple of weeks ago. You guys maybe have to put more of your own slant on things (the muse influence seemed to loom large, and after someone told me you guys were massive mansun fans so did that), but you were very tight and sounded great. And your bass player needs to buy some strap locks.
*rae*
we are hoping to release a single this year "Killing the Time" most probablywe are playing @ cafe drummonds this sunday if any one is interested in coming at the greenpeace gig we sould be on @ 6ish..hey! you said the same thing at the gig chris..i've never got the muse thing though cuz no one in the band are fans of muse..but definately mansun mwah! Guest Scorge Spike
Shameless self promotion time - the Spike collective will be coming back shortly with a new ditty or two with Hog back in and Kirk now nicely installed as bass playor. My other as yet unnamed power-ish metal project are still beavering away behind closed doors, but we will probably be active live at some point this year, and should be able to blow most bands out of the water when we do get out.
