I think my fantasy pop-musical troupe was realised on Bryter Layter by Nick Drake: the great Danny Thompson on upright bass, John Cale on piano and harpischord, and the man himself crooning and weaving arpeggios out of his guitar. Who cares who it was that kept the beat?

its funny that everyone seems to have dimebag darrel in their fantasy band line up

i bet if someone were to hunt down the old threads of it there would be little mention of him...

I see what you mean.....but then the guy was a was a truly gob-smacking guitarist with enough technique to share around several dozen guitarists, so probably not that surprising.

Vulgar Display of Power is in my humble opinion the most crushing display of musical prowess I have heard from a guitarist.....ever. So I've no bones about putting him top of the list!!
