bifta23
The ealy Napalm demos were quite different from what became Scum. More punk. Funny that they are still playing today with no orig members...
Guest allsystemsfail
I'd only rate their first two full lengths before the guys more fully embraced metal.Have you heard much of their early output? Have only heard their single contribution to Bullshit Detector.

Guest allsystemsfail
Indeed. ND were then considered anarcho-punks.
Guest Jake Wifebeater
I have the "Hatred Surge" demo tape from 1985. They were veering towards the hyperspeed, but not quite.

Guest allsystemsfail
Just thought I'd say for those folks here who don't know, the Bullshit Detector series I spoke of - to which ND contributed a track called The Crucifixion Of Possessions, was put together (and released through their own label) by 80s anarcho punks Crass. All of the bands - Chumbawamba, Amebix etc who appeared had never been heard before. Aberdeen's Toxik Ephex appeared on the third in the series with a track called Police Brutality. medichi
Totally fail to get Napalm Death - but am a HUGE fan of most of the offshoots - Cathedral, Carcass and Godflesh are some of the greatest british bands of all time - yet I've managed to see ND twice, and none of the rest ever! *sob*
