Dazza1040
Bassist looking to form cover duo/trio. My plan is to have me on bass With drum backing track and some backing vocals, I have about 30,000 drum tracks. As a duo I would need guitarist/singer.As a trio I would need guitarist/singer and lead guitar or keyboard. My plan is to play regular gigs around Aberdeen, weekdays and weekends
Skamikazee
Why are you planning to use backing tracks? A real drummer might be better (but then again you haven't specified what type of music or influences)On that subject...............What type of music are you planning to play and what are your influences? Dazza1040
backing trackA lot more gigs available without real drums. Cuts out the cost of pratice rooms. And you get a share of what the drummer would be getting paid.
PaulDW
Covers are cool to do in that kind of situation, but I couldnt see myself playing to a backing track, particurly not for drums.Good luck in finding folk though! Hope it works out.
Patch
Could possibly be interested. I'm a guitarist and singer and like the idea of doing covers. Not fantastic at lead guitar so if I was to play it some of it would be improvised. What are you influences? Patch

Patch
Sounds cool to me. Will it be more of an acoustic or electric thing (or a bit of both?). Anyhow my amp is currently sitting in the Small World Cafe Bar and my boss says it is cool for me to play in the bar whenever. In fact he is looking for bands of your description to play there. But I'd like to play elsewhere as well (he's a bit of a dodger is my boss so getting paid can be a hassle. Also he'll want us to play all night long. NOT an hour or two. I have warned you) So if you want to get together that would be a good place just for a mess about as opposed to an actual performance.Got any good places in mind? Good pay?Patch
