NARC
All the At the Drive-In albums will be reissued on December the 6th for very reasonable prices I think! Vaya and In/Casino/Out are heading my way...
rune
As ive heard one of those "re-issues" allready, Total farce. Yet another cash in, fuck that
Skacel
are these the import albums that i sometimes see dotted around the music shops of aberdeen?always wanted to check out some of their other stuff, all ive heard is relationship of command. NARC
No I dont think they are imports, its just they do actually have other albums apart from ROC...Vaya is good, its like a 7 track EP, In/Casino/Out is another excellent one, but "El Gran Orgo" and "ACcrobatic Tenement" are best avoided! kfaar_giladi
At the drive-in kick ass! I only have "in casino out" and "Relationship of command", sounds like a good oppertunity to check out more their stuff! A while ago when I was HMV I saw an album by Omar Rodriguez, it wasn't "defacto", does anyone know what it could have been?
NARC
Jimmy Jazz will know, I think hes got some solo stuff apart from the Mars Volta?
Skacel
is that his solo effort?ive heard its totally self indulgent.
NARC
No, its got cedric from ATDI as well, dunno the other members but frusicante and flea make an appearance. I heard the album for the first time last week, its actually pretty good, he has a much better voice now. If you like ATDI you should like this. kfaar_giladi
The Mars Volta are awesome!!!! I lent it to someone and they haven't given it back yet! I'm so pissed off. The CD I was asking about is probably still in HMV, I should just get off my arse and find out my self... but I'm so comfy...
Larsen B
It "A Manual Dexterity: Soundtrack Volume 1" by Omar you saw in HMV. It's the soundtrack to a film he made, which we'll probably never see, and it is totally self indulgent but some of it is absolutely brilliant. It shares it's name with a De Facto song on Megaton Shotblast which you should get if you haven't got it already. Omar's album is only for big fans though. And yes the Mars Volta are the best thing (note i said thing not just band) ever. Also check out the Mars Volta's debut ep, the Tremulant EP, if you haven't got that. And the rest of the current and seemingly permanent line-up of the Mars Volta is: Jon Thedore on drums (he's awesome), Juan Alderete on bass, Ikey Owens on keys and Omar's brother Marcel now performs the other samples and effects since Jeremy Ward (who was the cousin or brother of ATD-I's Jim Ward) died last year. Now was that informative or what?

Lawy Lawson:Attorney
Good shit, doods! Vaya and In/Casino/Out are great, I even prefer I/C/O to Relationship of Command, but I'm not so sure about Acrobatic Tenement which is kinda let down by poor production (which couldn't really be helped, I suppose)
Larsen B
Dulls songs as well though. I'm getting into Vaya again after hearing the b-side Extra-curricular. Not that it got anything to with Vaya. This my ranking of albums/ep:ROCI/C/OVayaAcrobatic TenementEl Gran Orgo
