I know there's a travelodge, is it within walking distance of el SECC? Are there buses you can catch that go down that way?cheers!lelexx

Inkster
Euro hostel is only that cheap if you have about 8 of u's goin.underground is best way to get 2 secc but it's not open for the journey back into tonw. It's about a 15 minute walk into town which is fine if it's not cold and/or raining. jimr
I wouldn't advise drinking anything beforehand. Toilets on megabus' are hit and miss. A hit being a filthy aids infested den of despair, and a miss being no toilet at all, though some may argue that those two could be swapped about. When I came up to glasgow on Sunday I wasn't lucky enough to be supplied with a toilet. I had to run and filthy a wall in dundee (a vast improvement I thought) and run back before the guy took off. (by the by they will take off, just ask poor Dave) The journey took a lovely 5 hours and by the end the windows were flying open and rain was soaking everyone inside. To be honest city link is probably better, they are far more reliable and if you are booking in advance it's only 3 a single. Also, if you take a train from central station lower you could probably get to the SECC without paying.

KarmaTsunami
have done megabus before, to edinburgh...had a coach all the way there. on the way back we changed to a double decker in perth and it was okay. we had to snuggle up for warmth and some sort of comfort...but otherwise a-ok. so i don't mind booking with them.
