ULTRAVIOLENCE

Ultraviolence - Blown Away ( 94 - 04 )

2CD. Almost single handedly re-defining the UK extreme techno / industrial scene of the late 90's, Ultraviolence produced the fastest and most controversially extreme sounds during the 90's, and performed heart-stoppingly intense live shows with Cubanate, MIsery Loves Co and Moby amongst others. Released on the 6th December 2004, this absolutely essential retrospective 2CD set features 30 of the finest Ultraviolence tracks culled from their 10 year, 5 album stint with Earache Records. Disc 1 highlights the evolution of the Ultraviolence sound with selections from all 5 of the albums, most of which have become standards on the Cyber / Industrial dancefloors of the UK and beyond. Disc 2 is a collection of the remixes Ultraviolence has made for other notable artists ( Laibach, Hellsau, Misery Loves Co etc ) plus rare remixes of Ultraviolence tracks by others. For fans of this seminal act ''Blown Away 94 - 04'' also includes two brand new EXCLUSIVE Ultraviolence tracks which are unavailable elsewhere. The extensive booklet accompanying this release also includes detailed liner notes from UV mainman Johnny V making it the definitive summary of the Ultraviolence sound from 1994 - 2004.

Yeah sorry' date=' just pulled from an Earache email.

Canny wait! Hardcore Motherfucker. Hopefully he brings the grinder chicks with him.[/quote']

The organisers are awaiting to hear from Moshulu on that one. I hope so too, though, as without them it'll be a bit dissappointing.

Ultraviolence - I remember them from the old earache samplers I used to get. Man they were good - where else dig you get tapes with Carcass, Godflesh, Bolt Thrower and UltraViolence back to back? *goes back to pipe and slippers*

Only from Earache... still get the odd sampler here and there but now on a CD and not half as interesting. I'm sure you get a fortune for the tapes on EBay with some of those exclusive mixes.
