If only more people would be as specific and stick to what they want it would mean a lot less unnecessary agro and time wastage. People just want to get on with their music and start a career and whereas it's important to compromise and consider other people's creative input, I think it's possible to compromise too much and get to a point where noone knows what the hell they wanted to play in the first place and everyone ends up in different places as to where they want to go with their music. I fit the criteria pretty well, unfortunately my only real talent is drumming and as I said in the "rock and roll" thread, I'm in one band as it is playing drums and I don't really want to do it in another band. However if your at a completely loose end and there's room a fairly rudimentary bass player that's 90% image 10% talent, then give me a shout.(And so what if the guy made a Manics clone band? It's not as if there's a huge influx of Manics rip-off's out there, mores the pity. MBA are okay, but the others are rather pants. But then they are actually trying to copy the Manics, whereas I intend to just take them as a sort of template.
