thedifts
The Lucida Console. As seen supporting many great bands like Biffy Clyro, Minus, Kill Kenada, Aereogramme, ThisGIRL and People in Planes over the last year. The band also played a set at last years Leeds Festival. Thier sound is on the one hand full of snarling abrasive guitars, crunching riffs and machine gun drumming. On the other, plaintive solitary piano, vocals tinged with aching desolation. And have also been described as the Leeds scenes hottest prospects by the local press so are well worth catching. This tour has been rushed to fill in for the dates left empty due to the cancelled Fickle Public tour so will also include a date in Edinburgh and Forres. It will be this Friday, the 29th, with support from Asimov Advises Anger!(A band formed from ex members of the Gloria Flaw and something worth looking out for)visit www.myspace.com/thelucidaconsole or www.thelucidaconsole.vze.com for MP3's info and everything else you could want. Its at the Moorings Bar entry is 2 and the first band will be on at 8:00pm.
Flash@TMB
The bands are on at 8pm and 9pm, with an hour of total stage time each. The Wrecking Ball gets underway at 10pm as per usual. There is no door charge after 10pm.Due to noise restrictions we're not going to manage a full soundcheck, so the bar will operate normally until 8pm. Having said that we were forced to run without a soundcheck last night and it worked out just fine.

Doesn't the Wrecking Ball start at eight usually or is there some strange hallucinogenic atmosphere in the Moorings that's made me all strange? This was a last minute thing as another venue had pulled the plug on them. They sound like good bands AND they should add a few punters to the Wrecking Ball ranks for later so you'll benefit too. I guarantee that they bands will be done and dusted no later than 10pm.

Flash@TMB
Is this going to become a regular friday thing?Depends how painless it is, how well it works, how well it's received, and whether there's it makes commercial sense.
