He has released 2 acclaimed albums under the Rick Redbeard moniker - 2013's No Selfish Heart and 2016's Awake Unto. Anthony's songwriting melds a strong melodic sensibility with traditional folk themes like love, death, and the passing of time, and lyrics inspired by the natural world and his childhood growing up in the Aberdeenshire countryside. https://twitter.com/rickredbeard https://rickredbeard.bandcamp.com/ sound of yell Sound of Yell (led by Stevie Jones) are an acoustic compendium of fingerstyle guitar, idiosyncratic strings and restless woodwind. Lissom and otherworldly, they mould all-new shapes and textures fusing folk, classical, free jazz and avant-garde impulses to extraordinary effect. Herein lies joy, surprise, harmonic trompe l’oeils, playfulness and textural mastery. Featuring members of Arab Strap, El Hombre Trajeado and Alasdair Roberts and Friends. Supporting cast for this date will be Vikki Morton (Recorders/Voice/Shrutti/Electronics) Georgie White (Bass Flute/ Percussion/Melodica/Voice) and Rafe Fitzpatrick (Violin). Sound of Yell are touring to promote their new album Leapling on Chemikal Underground. “Wonderfully eccentric acoustic music, composed and performed by Stevie Jones with a supporting cast of Glasgow’s alternative music luminaries. Absorbing, original and moving.” fROOTS “An acoustic outing of tenacious, mutable beauty.” Mojo “Invigorating, innovative and addictive…fluent, intuitive and frequently beautiful.” The Quietus https://soundofyell.org/ https://chemikal.co.uk/ PAINTED X-RAY A band with Taiko at its heart, Painted X-Ray* are Taiko (Japanese drums, Georgie White and Alison Roe), Guitar (Jer Reid), Bass (Ali Begbie) and Violin (Rafe Fitzpatrick).
