Participants were given a free vote in this category, and these were totalled to arrive at our ten nominees - so don't blame us. All the votes will be tallied to arrive at our champion. BISONGRASS CELLAR DOOR DEAR JOHN DEATH WATCH DEPECHE CHOAD MAMERTINES ROTU THRASHIST REGIME UNF WHITE WASTED VIRGIN (you may vote for more than one option) The most worthy bands will be invited up onstage at Krakatoa, Saturday 27th February, to give thanks to their fans at our 16th annual awards ceremony with a short acceptance speech - best enjoyed with a headful of hard liquor, we find. We assure you the awards are tongue-in-cheek - but we'd encourage you to get dressed up posh anyway. Really. You'll be amazed by the amount of people that do. Three bands will play too, lest we forget in all this carefully planned chaos. This year, we've got the incomparible spectacle of DEPECHE CHOAD, the sprightly modern sounds of LENIN DEATH MASK, and shiny indie-rock newcomers WENDELL BORTON.
