IT IS TIME, ONCE MORE, FOR FUDGE'S ABERDEEN MUSIC AWARDS. We'll be awarding trophies across a number of categories. The winners will attempt to gargle their appreciation live onstage at Krakatoa, on Saturday 27th February at our no-expense-spared live awards ceremony - best dealt with via the medium of tequila. It's all very tongue-in-cheek, but we encourage you all to get dressed up in suits, kilts and ballgowns anyway. Heckling is rife, and the speeches are usually shambolic. Crowd participation in terms of cheering and jeering is mandatory.

Three bands will play too, lest we forget. This year, we've got the incomparible spectacle of DEPECHE CHOAD, the sprightly modern sounds of LENIN DEATH MASK, and shiny indie-rock newcomers WENDELL BORTON.

7pm - 7.30pm > WENDELL BORTON
https://www.facebook.com/wendellbortonmusic/
An alt-pop trio who went down an absolute storm when they played for us last time round. Catchy, satisfying, and interesting, they'll be opening the night with a 30 minute set of self-penned classics.

7.45pm - 8.10pm > Fudge Awards Ceremony pt.1
https://www.facebook.com/fudge.aberdeen/
Join us as we celebrate the best Aberdeen bands of the past year - it's The Fudge Awards! In the first half of the live awards ceremony, we'll be dishing out trophys for Best Release, Most Missed, Best Video and the like after a public vote, and trying to get drunk as quickly as possible. We'll drag the winning acts out of the crowd and make them give acceptance speeches to you - it'll be just like the Oscars, but shitter.

8.30pm - 9pm > LENIN DEATH MASK
https://www.facebook.com/LENINDEATHMASK/
A alternative rock combo, stuffed with songs, passion, and charisma. If you haven't seen them, then do yourself a massive favour and pop along to this cavalcade of fun and merriment.

9.15pm - 9.45pm > Fudge Awards Ceremony pt.2
https://www.facebook.com/fudge.aberdeen/
In the second half of tonight's awards ceremony, we'll celebrate the Best Band, Worst Band, Best Newcomer and Best Live Act. To a chorus of deafening crowd participation - and possibly jeering, if I'm any judge - we'll discover who you've picked this year. I hope to be drunk.

10pm - 11pm > DEPECHE CHOAD
https://www.facebook.com/D3P3CH3CH04D/
"Girth Rock all the way from the slums of Spearfish, South Dakota," claims their slightly ficticious band biography. The talented quartet have been setting stages alight around Aberdeen for the past year or two - and now their time has truely come: Fudge Awards Headliners 2016
