Soda Jerk
He should have gone for the Celtic job. He could have coasted to league titles to finally break his trophy curse, and built up a bit of Champions League experience. All in preparation for the Madrid hotseat of course. Managerial jobs need to be referred to as "hotseats" again. I'm bringing it back. Edited August 15, 2014 by Soda van Jerk

Skacel
I've just sat down to watch the Utd vs Swansea match, Michael Owen is co-commentator and he's annoying me already. Such a boring bastard. Edited August 16, 2014 by Skacel

Alkaline
Bit of a reality check really. We definitely still have the frailties of last season when we're caught flat at the back.
Murrr
Great stuff, Man United. More of that please.
Paranoid Android
Swansea looked a lot better than I expected them to.
Captain America
Man Utd looked as bad at the back as expected really. I think pre season was a bit better defensively than can be expected. They had a fair few injuries though and they still have an easy schedule for the next five weeks. Not panic time yet.

Delboy1969
Welcome to the Premier League Mr Van Gaal! Kinda ironic Moyes humped Swansea 4-1 in his first Prem League game in charge but its a marathon not a sprint I suppose!

Captain America
Palace must have wasted about 15 minutes of this game fannying about at goal kicks and throw ins. Then just 11 men behind the ball the rest of the game. Arsenal missing ozil to just pick a pass through and win the game.
Murrr
This is how we win today: food poisoning hits the squad at the last minute. Ben Arfa, having not been invited to lunch, is spared and has to lead a motley crew of youth teamers to an unlikely victory, bagging a hatrick with a crimson Pardew screaming at him to track back the entire time. Pardew grabs him by the collar as he comes off the pitch, but Shearer runs from the back and clocks Pards with a chair. Metal remix of Local Hero reverberates around the stadium.
Lemonade
Some great goals yesterday. McGeadys for Everton was pinpoint accurate, Cattermole's for Sunderland was sublime, the passing leading up to Ki's goal, Larsson's little side step finish. Schlupp's miss for Leicester was reminiscent of Ade Akinbiyi in his prime. Nobles penatly LOL. The World Cup was ace but it's great to have proper football back. Murrr
We looked disappointingly competent yesterday. City were able to defeat us without slipping out of second gear, but whatever. 0-2 is about what we expect. High points were Colback, who's still a cunt but actually looked solid, and Ayoze Perez who looked like he didn't give a shit that we was playing against the champions. Thumbs down to Riviere, who looks like a total dafty.
Captain America
I've been really impressed with Calum Chambers in his first two games for Arsenal. He looks so confident and has dealt with anything thrown his way with ease. Looks like he could be a future star.
