Murrr
I think he'd absolutely smash the league, but only Celtic would be able to afford his wages.
ca_gere
So what the fuck went on in the scotland game?Ive watched mulgrew's goal a hundred times and I still cant figure out what actually happened and im pretty sure the nigerian keeper threw the ball into his own net like a basketball rebound. Captain America
He did but the ref gave a foul against the Scottish lad challenging him. Still looked a bit dodgy on the keepers part! He just seemed to actually throw it in his net, like a touch pass in basketball.

The Milner
I would have said it was a foul, if we moaned that the dons should have had a foul in the game against Motherwell, then this should be the same.

Soda Jerk
Looks a bit Grobbelaar to me, like he intentionally throws it into his own goal. Bet he made a few quid from that gaff.

Soda Jerk
Should have stood, for me. The contact is minimal, though these days, any contact whatsoever on a goalkeeper is a foul, which is bogus. What the keeper does with his left hand still looks a bit weird. The opponent makes contact with his left arm, but it still looks like an odd throwing motion. Edited May 29, 2014 by Joda Serk

Murrr
Guardian bell-end Euan Murray reckons that Celtic and Roy Keane are in talks. PLEASE GOD LET THIS BE TRUE. A fantastic opportunity for Aberdeen, Motherwell and Dundee United to close the gap next season if this goes ahead.

Murrr
Lambert is an excellent footballer. I've seen lots of daft shites liken this to them signing Carroll as well: "a good option if they want to go direct," etc. What a load of bollocks. Rickie Lambert is a far more complete footballer than Andy Carroll, and he actually knows how to use his feet and brain, as well as his head. Imagine that. I assume people think he's just a one-dimensional clogger because he's big and English, but I think he's a great all-round forward.

He played in the lower leagues too. Which, you know, is all 4-4-2, straight lines and long balls. Nobody scores a goal with their foot in League Two, unless it's a penalty Geddit in t'box! Paranoid Android
Rickie Lambert's career progression is just about the best thing in football. If he does sign for Liverpool I hope they win the league and champions league double with him as top scorer.

Mr Owl PhD
As well as being a good player, I think the Lambert transfer is also quite good from an FFP perspective (he's English and hasn't cost that much). Presumably that might also make it easier for Liverpool in any other transfers they do this summer.
