Delboy1969
I was just thinking before the goal that Van Persie has been AWOL but that is the sign of true class, its up there with the best of them. I think the game might peter out into a 1-1 draw though as that would suit both teams but hope I am wrong, been an enjoyable first half. Big game tomorrow then... Colombia v Greece! Camie
That goal should be used if they ever bring back Grandstand for the intro video.
Paranoid Android
The slow motion replay of RVP's landing was superb. Edited June 13, 2014 by Paranoid Android

givemeasmile
3 touches from Robben to score. I can't stand him but his composure there was world class.
Delboy1969
I dont think there was an infringement on the keeper for Holland's third, Spain are falling apart but hey ho Torres is on lol!

Soda Jerk
Del Bosque just loves Torres, doesn't he? Who brings on Torres when chasing the game? Spain should probably ditch Del Bosque. Too many sentimental squad members. They need to move forward. FIVE.
Delboy1969
Spain have just fallen apart, fair play to the Dutch who have been tremendous 2nd half. think its the end of Spanish dominance, the early warning signs were there when Brazil ripped them apart in the confederation cup final last year. Chile will fancy their chances of beating them next match, gonna be hard to recover from methinks.
Adam Easy Wishes
Robben was class. De Jong, too. The Dutch system was perfect. I hope LvG brings that to the Premier League.
Soda Jerk
A midfield of De Jong, De Guzman and Sneijder barely gave Spain a sniff. Van Gaal is a witch.

Captain America
Feel a bit sorry for the Aussies in this second half. Ref is giving a foul any time a Chile player hits the deck. Been a good game this, Australia just lack that little bit special to create something.

KarmaTsunami
There's no way Casillas can start the next game for Spain. He had a shocker. The Netherlands were a class apart in the second half and Robben's second was just magnificent. All hopes rest on VdB making some tough but necessary decisions for the next game. Adam Easy Wishes
There's no way Casillas WON'T start the next game, IMO.
Soda Jerk
He'll start, and Torres will probably play a part, and so will Xavi and Xabi Alonso. As long as Del Bosque is boss, they'll play until their knees turn to mush. Casillas has regressed, probably through not playing regularly. Reina isn't the player he was 5 years ago. Play De Gea. Koke should be playing too, because he's the best. I'd also ditch Pique for Javi Martinez. Big talk. He's good on the ball, but he was getting danced around like he was a stick in the mud. He's a bit sluggish on the turn, and he doesn't have the physical prowess that Ramos and Martinez have. That'd be a good CB pair.
Soda Jerk
Pirlo http://babb.telegraph.co.uk/2014/06/37-reasons-why-andrea-pirlo-is-the-worlds-greatest-living-human-man/ The best. I finished his book the other day. I'm pretty sure he wrote it whilst half-cut on his own wine. A ridiculous autobiography, if it even is one by definition. He just rambles, with no real timeline. You don't really learn much about the man as a person, other than how magnificent he is. It was interesting to learn how many clubs he almost signed for though. He is a trashy little flirt. Captain America
I was just going to say the Pique problem is really obvious. The commentators and pundits were going on about Ramos not doing well enough but Ramos looked bad because at least he was attempting to do something. Pique was just absent for most of the game.
