Joking apart, I know what to mean. However I just doubt I'll be able to get anything recorded...but I'll keep you updated........................don;t worry I won't post the results if I get any.

If you're looking for a DAW try Tracktion. It may not be as powerful as others but is designed for musicians, and is significantly simpler and easier to use.

Okay I've looked into Tracktion...it looks like you have to buy it......nae sure I want to do that at this stage...is there any free ones?

^{I've found that Reaper is a really good DAW which is free to try (shareware). If you like it it's only a few quid - if not - nothing lost and it has most of the bells and whixtles of the professional packages and is (relatively) easy to use.  Have a look here   http://www.reaper.fm/download.php}

I think you can get a free demo of Tracktion. Otherwise try Reaper, of which you can try the full version for free, as above.
