Guest E.C
IT IS KEY THAT YOU LISTEN TO THIS ENTIRE SONG - ESPECIALLY 1.43 AND 2.55 Maximum the Hormone (?????????? Makishimamu Za Horumon?) is a Japanese nu metal/hardcore punk band from Hachi?ji, Tokyo. Their lineup has consisted of Daisuke-han, Nao, Maximum the Ryo-kun, and Ue-chan since 1999. Each member alternates singing lead vocals, often within the same song, with the exception of Ue-chan, who provides backup vocals almost exclusively. The group is best known for their unconventional and experimental style of alternative metal music. Over their career, they have found success incorporating elements of metal, punk, hardcore, pop, and ska into their sound. Stylistically, their music runs the gamut from being dark and serious, to ironic or humorous, often with drastic shifts in tempo and mood over the course of a song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tG01PprC-vk https://soundcloud.com/hai-yen-do/maximum-the-hormone-yushu Genuinely really enjoy listening to this band. It's really goofy, but that's the point. Edited March 4, 2014 by E.C
Lemonade
Well that was about 100,000 times more awesome than I was expecting.

Moose
That first track is off the wall, when it changes at 2.55. I like it.
FOX
This is potentially the best thing ever.
scottyboy
Reminds me of Bumblefoot (see also the Buckethead/Primus thread), or a more contemporary Zappa in rock/pop mode, but more extreme contrasts in the one song; and probably less technical/esoteric and more of a clusterfuck of every popular style possible. As above, more coherent and entertaining than i thought it would be.

Mac Atom
Their 'Buiikikaesu' album is absolute genius... been all over it since Paulscoconutass gave me a copy years ago. Such a great band. Listen to "chu chu lovely muni muni mura mura" and smile lots.
Paulscoconutass
I've got to hand it to Foreskin Ninja for sending me Buiikikaesu over MSN back in t'day. Their albums are hard to find over here / expensive to import but "Buiikikaesu" and "Rokkinpo Goroshi" are essential. Newer album "Yoshu Fukushu" isn't quite at that level, but still ace.
Foreskin Ninja
I still listen to them sometimes. What Paul said is true, it's hard to go wrong with anything on either "Buiikikaesu" or "Rokkinpo Goroshi", but this is probably my favourite of their songs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luOUPTvKnpA Nowhere comes close to Japan for making music that makes you want to kill yourself for enjoying. My latest favourite abortion:
